My kids have been bugging me forever to get spotify instead of pandora for streaming and I hate it. And of course, they're WAY too busy to help me figure it out. It doesn't create playlists based upon bands that I like (like pandora) and even when I search the band and find other people's playlists, I can't listen to them. It plays music for 15 seconds and then stops. I hate it a lot.

So, ya'll: the $300/wk PUA (pandemic unemployment assistance) goes away after next week. All those worker shortages? I predict we're not gonna have that problem anymore. I think all those folks who've been sitting back crying "I don't feel safe!" and collecting unemployment are in for a rude awakening. Uncle Sam's not gonna foot the bill forever. This might be interesting to watch, actually. *pops some popcorn*

Wow, that is like saying people who are depressed should just snap out of it. Hoarding is often an unusual attachment to everyday objects, so 'just get rid of that thing' is like saying 'just say goodbye forever to your dog'. It is heartbreaking for them to get rid of something that hasn't fulfilled it's purpose. If you want to understand the disease better, I recommend the book 'Stuff'. It isn't terribly technical, but gives some insight to what professionals where discovering not too many years ago. There is very little research around hoarding, compared to other mental disorders like OCD or addiction, but it is also far more complex.

I'm with you. There were specific reasons and specific people that made it very difficult for me (and my DS) to fit in while my kids were in school. It was awful. DD had an easier time fitting in, she was 4 years behind DS in school and by then, I was over trying to fit in with other moms. I just gave up and was happier for it. But for real, it does get better. School doesn't last forever and so what if you and your kids don't fit in. I'm WAY happier now that both the kids are out of school. My kids are not 'cookie cutter' type people and neither am I. And we're all really happy anyway. *Also, what that other mom did was uber bitchy and why would you want to be around someone like that anyway? Just my two cents.

Two weeks sounds like a rough patch, not a lifestyle. Same with maternity leave, it's temporary. If it's gone on for several months or even years (which I have witnessed), then it's no longer just a rough patch, and it's YOUR responsibility to talk to the boss about getting someone to cover your workload (Isn't this discussed when you apply for FMLA? Honest question, I've never used it.) or YOU should find a more appropriate job. Seriously, you cannot expect coworkers to just take up your slack forever and ever. (Nor should the boss.) But two weeks because you're having health issues? I got your back to the best of my ability. We all need a little help and compassion and understanding sometimes.

I lost my daddy today. I regret not seeing him more over the last year. I regret not making more of the opportunities he worked to provide me that I squandered. I regret not calling him to tell him I love him. I regret so much. I thought he would live forever. I miss him so much already.

My husband left me last year and I started dating a few months later. The guy I dated had an 11.5 inch penis and we had anal. It was...mmmm...then my husband and I reconciled and I am so aware of how he is not 11.5 inches....We still have pretty great sex and I am glad we have reconciled and are loving each other again, but sometimes his penis feels small. I wonder if that will last forever.

I'm the person selling my home with the realtor that took forever. I had a buyer quickly. We're on the home inspection part. Is it typical for the buyer to request 30 things to be repaired? A lot of it seems ridiculous. Is it common for them to put a bunch of stuff on there that doesn't matter? When I bought it my realtor said something about putting a lot of stuff on the repair list so owners would feel more obligated to do some of it. I only requested what mattered. To me, only the important stuff should be listed. One is wanting a new door on the garage cuz there's a cat door on it (from prev owner). Another is prev owner installed a pvc pipe in the garage for a workshop sink, it's never been in use. They want it "repaired" (remove or finish). Another is the brick steps that have been on the house 35 years, the bottom one is too short and needs to be lifted? A lot of the list is stuff that was there from prev owner, and my inspector never mentioned any of it on the report.

She'll never do anything about her situation, just be one of those people who bitches about it but never makes any changes. He's been a useless dickhead to her forever.

My DH is actually a great person. He’s kind, supportive, and puts us first for everything. (As he should though). It’s just me that doesn’t like how he operates. Takes him forever to call his mom and get questions answered that i need, yes I suppose I can call her, but he also needs to be involved and i don’t want to look like some neurotic controlling wife. I’m already neurotic and semi controlling (stems from being a single mom though!) as it is. But yeah, I would miss him, but not his modus operandi.
