You know how it is when someone remembers you, and you don't remember them? I got a FB friend request from someone who remembers me from an apartment building we both lived in 30 years ago. It was a pretty great place- a huge victorian that was pretty cheap and only rented to women. The rooms were huge and the bathrooms and kitchens were shared. This lady remembers everything and I just can't place her at all. I don't feel like I can ask...what room were you in? What did you look like back then? She is very friendly on FB and is happy that we reconnected...but I don't exactly know her. Soooo awkward! She's nice though, and I'm glad we met! I just wish I knew who she was!

My DH likes to point out every little thing I do wrong, like not pulling the door all the way shut while I'm outside and letting out the cool air. Or leaving the lights on in the bathroom in the morning while I'm in the kitchen getting more coffee. Dumb stuff like that. He never lets anything slide, he points our EVERYTHING. I don't do this to him, I think it's pointless and a little mean. But the other day I snapped. He did it again with the door. I went outside to get the food off the grill and and I knew I'd have my hands full of dishes so I lightly pulled the door shut so I could just push it open. He pointed it out. I said, "You know, I don't do that shit to you." to which he replied "That's because I don't do that stuff."... "You leave the light on in the bedroom almost every morning and I've pulled this door shut more times than I can count! I'm just not an ass hole about it!" And he actually apologized! We'll see how long he can refrain from this dickish behavior, though.

So apparently normal range of motion for opening your mouth is- you can fit a wine cork between your teeth lengthwise. I have not been able to do this (or eat like a normal person, I look like a bridge troll with food falling off my spoon and can't bite into an apple or sandwich) for almost three weeks. And this morning, eureka!! I did it! I was so excited! I yawned, and my mouth opened up really wide, and I literally ran to the kitchen with my mouth wide open to find a wine cork & measure. I was so excited!!!! Then I closed my mouth and now I can't do it again. WTF. F*cking TMJ. I'm such a mess. At least I did it once. I just need to figure out how I did it so I can do it again. Also, at least I know now that it's got to be a problem with my muscles/ligaments and NOT my actual jaw bone. So that's good. Right? I'll take anything right now.

My landlord wants to enclose the tiny porch on the front of the house for "curb appeal" but won't fix any of the issues in the house. The kitchen floor is caving in in several spots, the dining room floor bounces like a trampoline, the valves leak when I use the washer (they're rusted out & covered in build-up), when it rains heavy water comes in the windows. She had a contractor come out to look at it all. Where the washer is, under the house has a massive puddle and the flooring is rotted, the kitchen floor is rotted and won't last much longer before it gives out. She decided not to get anything fixed other than enclosing the porch. It's her house she can do what she wants, we're buying in the next year so I just hope my washer or us don't fall through the floor. Most of the house is beautiful hardwood, she bought carpet to put over it. No protection between the carpet and floor, she's just going to lay the carpet on top of it.

I bet he'd learn real fast how to get his own beer and water if you didn't bring it to him when he asked. I used to do that for my DH too and when I stopped, his legs magically started working and he could walk to the kitchen on his own.

I woke up so annoyed at my DH today. I went to bed frustrated bc he stood in the kitchen and watched me get comfy on the couch, went and sat down and waited 10 minutes, and then asked me to get up and get him a snack and a beer. Normally wouldn't bother me, but I guess I'm just prickly. Then this morning he's out back in the yard and asks for a cooler of water after he had just left the cooler standing on the carport. And when I got it back there to him he said "and in 45 minutes it would be great if you could bring a cooler of beer. And then go to the store for me. And then go pick up this thing from down the street." Like, I get it. I don't work for money and I do enable him by being there and constantly making sure he doesn't have to do anything BUT work- but sometimes he is just too much!

For those of you following my realtor issues. It's finally active. It took 2 months & 11 days. She's the broker too. I had better pics of the house empty and a better description up (I even sent her my pics), she put up pics of the house when my tenants were in there. The kitchen is a dream kitchen, but it was such a mess in their pic that it would make me pass if I were looking to buy. The description is pretty short and unexciting and doesn't mention some key features that people look for. The other houses she's selling all sound like a dream home, where mine sounds blah. I emailed her assistant(?) to ask to make the changes, she said she would. The assistant has been way more helpful and friendly.

I decorated, sent out of town gifts, bought DH a gift ( I got a card but no gift), cleaned house, prepped for days, cooked a meal that served eight people, cleaned up and took down all the inside decorations. I just sat down and told DH that this was the last time I’ll go to all this trouble. Next Christmas I’ll be helping out at a soup kitchen.

It's not so much that I need to do things fast, but I need to do them the MOMENT I get out of bed in the morning. Right now. I have been known to make the bed WHILE I'm getting out of it. It drives my DH nuts. By 7am I've usually (of course made the bed), done at least 2 loads of laundry, cleaned the kitchen, filled the humidifier, fed the cat, cleaned the bathroom, cleaned the cat box, made today's lunch, started dinner in the crock pot, and done a half hour of power yoga. After all that's done, then I shower and get ready for work and go work all day at my office. When I get home, though? I'm pretty lazy. Like, pajamas at 6pm lazy. I wish I had more energy for projects in the evening because there's a lot of fun stuff I want to do but I am just too tired.

This reminds me of something my dad would have done, lol. I do remember one time he wore a brand-new shirt my mom had just bought him when he was painting and of course ruined it. My DH does boneheaded stuff like that sometimes too--like driving my car until it's almost empty and leaving me with barely any gas or ruining my good kitchen dishclothes by using them as grease rags. I honestly think they just do not think.
