Yes, vaccinated people can spread Covid, but don't get it twisted. I was vaccinated last March and didn't even go into a grocery store until two weeks later. I was in my house for almost a year. Since then I have gone shopping once a week but have only been unmasked indoors three times in restaurants. Once Delta popped up, that stopped. Until recently I had more compassion for people who didn't want to get vaccinated, but I am running out of patience. We're all tired of this. I don't hope the unvaccinated die. I hope they become vaccinated.

This evening walk ended ending up making my day. I went over a community garden, saw a couple who proudly gave me a tour of their plot of veggies. Turns out the woman works at a restaurant I’ve been wanting to try. I'll go there tomorrow for lunch and give a nice tip. Later I moved over to bball benches since I was still feeling a lot of stress, was not quite ready to go home. I began to tear up thinking about the accumulated stress maybe years worth being held in. Sitting at the benches, I began thinking about how I missed the simplicity of shooting hoops with family as young girl. Suddenly, a high schooler appears out of nowhere with a basketball. I asked if I can play and he was so cool with it. Just wrapped up games with him and another older friend that joined later! Imagine seeing a 5'3 Asian woman with two guys just shooting hoops. To go from pain to pleasure in 60 seconds is something I won't forget. Life always shows up for you in the most unexpected ways. <3

Finally got my Dad into an assisted living facility yesterday! DH (who’s my freakin’ hero!) worked his ass off for three days, helping me pack, driving Dad around, helping with the move-in, cleaning out his storage facility then driving everything to a donation site. I cleaned his old place then did the walk-through with management, and made sure everyone was fed for three days. We spent $200 for two nights in a hotel, bought him new sheets and a comforter, and began unpacking at his new place. My brother was 100% MIA….until today, when he took him lunch (did I mention he’s paying for three restaurant-style meals every day at the new place?). He also unpacked six (out of 31) remaining boxes. He sent me a text thanking DH and I for ‘picking up the slack.’ What a load of crap! My relationship with my brother ended today.

What do you all think about someone who refuses to get vaccinated, but lies and says they are just so they can go maskless in restaurants, stores and bars?

I'm so disgusted by this whole 'poor restaurants' bullshit. The fucking greed is so out of control it's truly disgusting. If people only knew the real truth they wouldn't be throwing their money at these greedy fucks.

Yeah, I'm waiting to see what happens here. DS and I are vaxxed. DH refuses to, even though he travels extensively for work and regularly goes out to restaurants and bars in different states. If he ends up getting sick, he'll expect me to drop everything to cater to him.

DH and I were talking this morning and he mentioned a restaurant. I asked where it was and he insisted that he and I had had lunch there a few times back in 2012 or 2013. The restaurant is about 40 miles from where we lived, but about five from his office. When I finally said, ‘I don’t know who you took there but it wasn’t me.’ His reply was ‘maybe it was the guys from the office who went’ and quickly changed the subject. I have never suspected him of cheating, but I wonder if I should have.

These fuckign restaurant owners. I swear to christ. Money grubbing entitled fucks. Every single one of them fucking bothering me to help them get their free money when if they would have KEPT the paperwork I gave them in the FIRST PLACE they would have what they need for the applications. And it makes me want to vomit. I'm over here driving a 15 year old vehicle and my roof needs replaced meanwhile these motherfuckers are all going to be buying new boats this summer courtesy of uncle fucking sam. I hate them all. I want to kick every last one of them in the crotch. I don't give two fucks that it's legal. It's WRONG and they all know it. Mother fuckers. Jesus h christ on a tightrope.

I was temping at an office last year and ordered through DoorDash and GrubHub quite a bit. A lot of times the restaurants were really close to the office, but I'd watch them on the app as they drove all over the damn place - and no, they weren't making other stops, they'd drive right by or turn the wrong way onto our street and have to turn around. The directions were, "Pull into the driveway, drive around to the other side of the building and call me, I will come out." I can't tell you how many times they'd park in the lot behind the building and call to say they didn't know where to go. Or they'd come into the office and call me. It was COVID time, we didn't want people coming inside. One day I was standing on the steps under the awning as it was pouring rain and the guy was sitting in the lot asking me where to go. I literally told him 5 times to look to his left and he'd see me! Jesus!!!

Everybody is eating restaurant food because they feel so sorry for 'poor restaurant owners' because they're losing so much revenue and whatnot..... that all but TWO of my clients have more revenue in 2021 than they did in 2019 for the first quarter. And the government just keeps handing out cash. Let me be clear: this money is NOT going into the hands of employees. It's NOT needed (in these cases I'm talking about). And when all is said and done these restaurant owners are going to personally pocket this money. One of my clients is going to collect close to half a million dollars by the time this is over. And the reason? She made a decision to close one of her locations and remodel using the first round of handout money. So, yanno, poor her because that location's sales are down. She's gonna make BANK. It's disgusting. And all completely legal.
