I'm sad and I'm sort of angry at my DH. Our little dog is sick. He's got a heart condition and he gets worse if he gains weight. I mean, it will get worse regardless but weight gain exacerbates it. DH took him to the vet and he's gained 5lbs in 2 months. And I can't help but be upset at DH because he is constantly giving the dogs treats. We have one dog that needs to gain weight and one dog that can't gain weight. And he just gives treats to everybody. All the time. Pig ears and milk bones and bananas. The vet appointment was an eye opener for DH, but I've been telling him all along to lay off the treats and he didn't listen when I said it. I can't lose my little man one moment sooner than I absolutely have to. I love him so much I can't stand this.

Two months sober. I don't have more strength than you- I was just sick of the way I was living. One night I drank so much that I threw up. Not after a party. Just at my house. When the evidence of my drinking problem couldn't be hidden, even from me, that was it. I always knew I needed to quit. I just kept putting it off. Not drinking has actually lifted a huge weight off of me. I don't have to quit drinking now because I already did it. I have to believe that I can keep doing it- one day at a time. You will know when you are ready. That's when you will quit smoking weed. I believe in you because you know that you are using it as a crutch. That's the first step.

My friend is in town visiting, but I can't bear to see her. I feel so depressed and gained a lot of weight recently. I feel bad making an excuse even though it was a little honest. Mostly, it's feel shameful for all this weight gain and in a bad mental space

I don't have a weight problem, but I do have belly fat that I'm trying to get rid of. It definitely started in menopause, but I don't want to use that as an excuse to accept it. Because, for one, it's ugly and uncomfortable, and two, it's visceral fat which is dangerous and unhealthy. I don't diet, instead I try to mostly eat non-processed food, limit salt and sugar and I'm active, including HIIT and strength training. It's still IMPOSSIBLE to lose this ugly belly! And I've read so much contradictory information. "Eat keto to lower your insulin levels ", but then I read eating keto is bad for heart, kidneys, etc. Eat nuts, you're eating too many nuts, Eat dairy, no dairy's bad for you, take these vitamins, but you're taking them at the wrong time of day. Ugh, it's ridiculous! I'm going crazy just trying to be healthy!

I'm just now starting to get back to the point where you can't see my rib cage in my chest area. I don't mind if you can see my actual ribs in a bathing suit or something, but in a V-neck top? On my chest? I look skeletal. I have no ass, either, there is NO junk in my trunk. When I gain weight it happens in my torso and waist. I am built like a plank of wood.

I used to be pretty overweight and struggle a lot with getting weight off. Then I was diagnosed with ADHD and went on medication. Fast forward a year and now I can't keep weight *on*. I'm struggling to maintain a BMI of 22 and not lose more. Even though I'm not a super low weight, I appear to be one of those people that loses a ton of weight in the top half before the butt and thighs. So the result is I have a great ass and pretty decent thighs, but basically no boobs and you can actually see my high rib bones (the ones under the collarbone.) It's actually infuriating, one extreme to the other. I know I shouldn't be obsessing over the way I look, but it actually freaks me out a bit because I used to have a friend with an ED who obsessed over "xylophone ribs." Anyway, fuck my life. Talk about feast or famine. (and no offence to anyone with this body shape who is happy with it, it's just I've never had that body shape and it makes me a bit uncomfortable)

I'm three pounds from my goal weight. I've lost 38 pounds. Three more pounds and I will be at the "ideal weight" Noom set for me. I feel great.

I can easily, EASILY gain 10 pounds in a week. But I need to weigh and measure every morsel that enters my mouth and practically run amarathon every day for 2-3 months in order to lose 10 pounds. Such bullshit. No wonder so many people are overweight. And yes, I've seen doctors, nutritionists, and every other professional alive with no better results.
