No one said that the OP is disregarding the CF friend's choice, but calling kids curse words does seem messed up. Dogs are not humans, replace children with a person of another race and it would be seen as wrong. Kids can be pains (CF myself mostly because after raising my siblings, I am not maternal) but they deserve the same treatment of being treated civilly.

Not everyone likes dogs. Some people really, really hate dogs. Those are the sorts of people that shouldn't have dogs. Some people detest children. Don't you think you should be glad those people sometimes don't choose to have any children?

DH and his ex-wife are making me so mad. DSD 6 is highly allergic to pet dander. DSD goes to her mom's every other weekend. DH has 2 dogs and 2 cats. The ex-wife has 5 dogs, 3 cats and a rabbit. My house has 5 people and 2500 sq ft. I cannot clean all that pet hair!!! Ex wife's house has 7 people and is about 900 sq ft. It's always filthy, and DSD always comes back sick. What can I do? I got filtration systems for my house, and I do my best to vacuum everyday, because DH won't do it. I get that he loves his pets, but he's making DSD sick. I know I can't do anything about DSD situation at her mom's house, but what can I do at my house? Any tips on convincing DH that a fish is just as good as a dog?

FedEx, UPS, USPS, etc pretty much never ring the doorbell and I appreciate it since my dogs go ballistic when it rings. I get text alerts when packages get delivered so there's no need. But today we must have gotten a new FedEx guy because he did ring it, and of course my dogs barked. I opened the interior door, they usually shut up when they can see why the doorbell rang through the steel security door, and the FedEx guy have me the bitchiest face I've ever seen.

I hate our new vet. My dog has EPI a uncommon illness that the vet fought me on testing. He told me he had it after I called them to get results after they didn't call me when they said they would. Still never told me the other test results didn't give me enough of his prescription, gave us the wrong dosing. So tomorrow I am going in to demand the test results/records, get his prescription refilled at my old farm vets office! I know the information by researching myself. A 10lb dog and a 90lb dog do not take the same amounts of medication! I don't know if he doesn't like big dogs or myself for some reason. The annoyed attitude and not releasing my dogs results for both test that my dog may need another medication for is making me very angry! I only left my old vet because he is out alot with farm calls. BF recommend this vet. Sticking with the caring vet that would flip if nobody called me with all results, treatment plan. I've waited 3 weeks to long!

It's not being a "judgmental ahole". It's being prudent. Dogs aren't people. Dogs--even very sweet ones that have been around babies a lot--can have a bad day and if a small child startles him by poking him in the butt, he could really easily have just snapped out of instinct. I think dogs and kids can be great together, but only once kids are old enough to understand how to properly act around animals and how to treat them.

Calm down. It's just odd you all would leave a newly walking one year old in the house alone. And for what it's worth, even if it did happen, I don't think you would purposely let the one year old poke the dogs butt.

I wish they'd bring back mental institutions. People who now live on the streets could get the care they need. Our library would smell like books instead of B.O. I could walk my dogs in the park without getting angrily accosted for money. Businesses in our downtown would not have to chase bums out of their doorways before customers come in, and they wouldn't lose business because people don't want to shop there. The outdoor soup kitchen would go away and the area would be an artists' market again.

And THIS is why dogs bite little children. It's seriously irresponsible to let a baby that little be around a dog that isn't used to him. My dog is a gentle girl too, but I never let little kids play with her because if they push or pull too hard and the dog is not having a good day, they could easily just decide they don't want to be touched. You're lucky that your nephew and your dog are okay, but that doesn't always happen.

Also, my state spends a lot of money trying to help people here. It's a huge problem that affects tourism, which funds most of the economy, but they've done surveys...the people living in the parks are there because they choose to be. Can't do drugs in the shelter so no point in going, can't take my 6 dogs so instead of finding them better homes and trying to better my own situation we can all sleep under the overpass, can't take my Shoopibg cart of crap into the shelter so I'm gonna set up a tent and keep it all there. the lady I mentioned is probably mentally ill she has been homeless since at least 2007. If she wasn't to begin with I'm sure living on the streets didn't help I try really hard to be empathetic, to understand no matter what these people have it hard. But when I can't take my kid to several really cool free places because I have no idea if the dozen homeless people are crazy or just unlucky I stop caring as much.
