I don't think the fine for overdue books is anything to feel bad about, but to have overdue books "all the time" is a bit douchey- you know, other people would probably love to check out the materials that you're too irresponsible to return. And that's what I took from the original overdue library book post, that the OP felt bad about having them past their allotted time.

I have overdue books all the time. I pay my .20 fine and don't lose any sleep over it. I guess I never thought of having overdue books being something so frought with emotions and drama.

I pretty much only check out e-books now. When your book is due, it just disappears from your device, no fee no hassle. It's all incredibly convenient, but I do miss sitting in the actual library sometimes.

I don't get the big deal about the overdue library books....I know everywhere is different but my local library (in a fairly large city) only charges a dime a day for late fees.

I posted my overdue library book this morning through the post box marked 'no overdue books', ran to the car and wheelspinned the heck out of there!

The Confederate flag is like the word Gay. Gay used to mean happy but over time it evolved into the meaning we use today. The Confederate flag didn't start off as a flag of racism but over time it has evolved and the view is totally different for some. The Civil war wasn't just about slaves but for some it may have been. I don't think the people that want the confederate flag or the people that don't want the confederate flag even know or understand the history of it. Both sides are yelling, throwing accusations, stomping their feet and throwing fits like 2 year olds. No one is stopping and saying lets talk about this and figure this out. Everyone just wants to complain or fight and hurt anyone they can in the process. The Civil war as with any war is about more than just one subject but that one subject is what is always remembered in the minds of the people and sometimes even the history books.

I'll be honest. I don't mind that people want to take down the confederate flag, what I do mind is going back and practically erasing it--apple took down any and all games including the flag. And that's not just the racist games, but the historical ones too. I know it sounds like a far leap, but what comes next? Removing it from history books? Rewriting history? I'm really not a fan of that.

Waiting for an appt with the nutritionist. Hope I figure out why this weight isn't moving. I've been religious about weighing/measuring/logging foods eating lots of healthy proteins, tons of water, exercise. On the books everything looks great. In reality, not so much. Blood work normal . thyroid and hormone levels great. Hopefully she can look at my food diary and guide me. Lost 20 lbs the same way several yrs ago so I know its possible. Staying around 1300-1400 cal per day plus eating back half of exercise calories .I just can't figure this out!

I don't know why I read Danielle Steel books. Prob cuz they're so cheap at thrift stores. Every one is almost identical. Sigh, she is the lifetime movies of books. Breezy light reads, but can a girl get a plot twist every now and then??

My solo hobbies are yoga, hiking (with my dog, but also sometimes with my boyfriend), reading, watching tv, photography, gym/weight lifting, shopping/thrifting, cooking and video games- currently have my wiiu and snes hooked up. Every once in a while I'll draw and/or paint. I like sudoku/puzzles and coloring in coloring books too. I've been toying with the idea of volunteering with one or more of the local trail groups. And I've been saying I'm going to learn how to use my sewing machine for years now. Other hobbies, that I don't do alone, are camping, backpacking, off roading, kayaking, cross country skiing, swimming, road tripping.
