I see my future with him like this: He finally gets his own place, his ds lives with mom, he tells me every weekend that since him and his 15 year old ds no longer live together, he has to be with his ds every weekend. I'd be breaking my own heart staying with him I'm pretty sure. I have no faith in him. I have no faith in men keeping their word. We haven't talked since yesterday. We've never gone this long without talking. I want to end things with him. I love him. I'm sad.

I just got a FB message from an old (OLD old, like 30+years ago) friend telling me that I helped her in life by calling her out on her avid shoplifting. When we were maybe 14 or 15 years old. She said I made a difference and she thinks her life may have gone down a darker path without me. My God. I barely remember doing that. My little heart is warmed.

Ugh, that's suppose to say "heard", not "heart".

I had never heart the term "love bombing" before, but that is exactly what exbf does.

I have been in therapy for decades, including an in-patient program. I have tried medication. Some worked but all are either not safe for long-term use or lose their effectiveness after a while. I've even tried hypnosis. Actually, therapy for food-based mental illnesses does not have a history of long-term success. Largely in part because the medical community thinks there is a physiological component. My childhood was great, BTW. But I'm glad you know more than the probably 100 medical experts I've seen who whole-heartedly disagree with you. Do you ask people suffering from depression what happened to them? Do you tell them to just cheer up? I't hard, but seriously, why can't they just be happy?

Update: DGD's husband DID spend the night with his wife and son, and posted lots of pics on Facebook gushing about being a good daddy. I can see the look on DGD's face, and it breaks my heart because I know she's not happy. She's living with her parents because he says he doesn't get enough allotment for her to live on her own (and I know that he's BS'ing her!). All I can do is keep my shut.....for now.

I want a Boston Terrier puppy. I want a new baby puppy so bad I can't even stand it. I want a little girl this time. A little princess. Made the mistake of signing up for Boston Terrier groups on facebook. Now I'm DYING I want a new baby so bad. It feels like my heart is literally being tugged out of my chest. Alas, it's just not the right time for a new baby puppy. The puppies I'm looking at online are SO cute and sweet and precious. I cannot stand it. They're all decked out for Christmas with little bows and ribbons and stuff. My God, they're cute. *sigh*

I was cheated on. That wasn't the worst of it, the worst of it was when I I started having weird symptoms regarding my lady bits. I knew something was off. I went to Planned Parenthood and my found out ex gave me not one STD but THREE! Yes, THREE! I was so ashamed and embarrassed after the clinician came in and told me. A year ago I looked up that cheating, controlling and abusive loser and his life is in shambles. He's a meth head, living with his parents, has heart issues that required heart surgery, has no job and probably never will. Karma never loses an address, it sure found him for all the wrong he did to me. To see how his life was, it was utterly satisfying. No, I will never forgive him for all the pain he caused me. He cheated on numerous times, controlled me, ruined my credit, physically abused me.

My husband had an emotional affair with one of my friends. I almost divorced him over it. I gave him all the sex he wanted, too--at least 2x a week, plus. The reason he fell for her was because she flirted with him and paid him more attention. I just kind of took all that for granted because we were married. We had counseling and talked about it a lot, but it still hurt me so much. I don't think I would have forgiven him if he'd slept with her. If you don't want to be with me, leave me--don't keep having sex with me and living in my house and eating my food and sleep with some other chick on the side. I heartily agree with Stormyweather on this one--if you feel the need to cheat, on someone, you need to leave. It's not just something that people do just because their needs aren't being met. There is another person involved in this that has feelings that are being disregarded.
