Yes it's sad about the victims of Josh Duggar. But there are people you would never suspect were victims of assault. My mom was molested by her father and his father. Neither of those men were "Sexually repressed Christians" either. I'm grateful it never happened to me but if you're gonna be so angry about the Duggars, put some good to it. Go volunteer at Planned Parenthood or a counseling center. Time permitting of course. There are victims that need your help.

I'm so disappointed in my friend. Of 20years. She feels everyone (Josh Duggar) is worthy of forgiveness. How can she forgive a child molestor? He even admitted it. She is a Christian and is a Conservative. I don't know how to articulate my feelings, I'm just a little sad she feels this way.

I just saw a picture on FB of my former bff. She doesn't have a FB page (she doesn't have time, because she's so much busier than everybody else), but her dh does and they must have been at a wedding. She looked awful. Her dress was so unflattering, her shoes were all wrong, her hair barely looked brushed. She's a beautiful woman, but you would never be able to tell by that picture. She looks great in black, very sophisticated and statuesque, but her dh hates that she used to wear black all the time, so she rarely wears it anymore. The dress was white with a blue pattern. Her dh wasn't allowed to wear black clothing (besides suits or dress pants) when he was growing up because his "christian" mom thought it was the color of the devil.

There is Islam and then there is Radical Islam. Islam is a very beautiful and loving religion just like Christianity can be beautiful and loving as well as many other religions. You can have different degrees of Christianity and same goes for other religions too. You have the loving Christians, you have judgmental and mean christians then you have a whole other level like the Westboro Baptist Church. Those people are some mentally disturbed and/or misguided individuals. This type of thing also happens with most religions across the globe. You can't kill all Christians or Baptist Christians just because of Westboro Baptist Church or any other lunatic Christian church/cult . Why would you want to do destroy thousands of innocent people that follow their peaceful religion just because of a few crazy people using their religion as a reason for war.

I recommend Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University course (not an actual university course, lol) for anyone who wants to know the basics of personal finance. It is NOT just for people in debt--I took it shortly after getting my first job and learned about which health insurance to buy, how mortgages work, how to invest, what a budget actually is, all the stuff nobody tells you. It's usually offered through a church and does cost money, but you get the whole course kit, materials, membership to an online support group, can go through the course again as many times as you want, etc. Disclaimer is it is a Christian-based program.

Even if a single person, no kids, healthy-works a mcjob, 7.25/hr will not pay for their life and I doubt they will even get 40 hrs a week so there's that. Again, WHY does this person HAVE to get a second or third job, take up with roommates, get a degree etc. just to make ends meet. Why? If that's where they want to work for the rest of their lives, why can't they? Maybe that's all they are capable of doing. Maybe they don't want to be a lawyer or a doctor even if they had the intellect to do so. Regarding cost of living, COL has been going up and up every year regardless of wage. That will never cease/increase/decrease no matter what happens with wage. I'm not advocating $15/hr across the board, but I know in some parts of the U.S. $15/hr is barely scraping by. Even without a family to support. But a higher min wage I do support. So women don't have to use toilet paper for sanitary napkins, so families don't have to live piled on top of one another, so the bike messenger can get by while he saves/works for something better instead of being in a vicious cycle of just work work work..sleep..barely eat..barely pay bills..work work work. And according to some folks, you shouldn't have a family if you can't support them..duh..why do you think people want a better wage? So they can start a family. Why do they have to be without a family of their own just because they choose to work at McDonald's? What happened to being pro-life?? And being a Christian and being about family. What happened to being American and Freedom?? Freedom to choose our lives within the law? Flipping burgers is an honest job. While it doesn't require degrees and higher education, it still requires commitment and honesty and just because you don't have those higher education skills, doesn't mean you don't deserve to live in your own place being able to pay your bills and not have to worry about tampons or food. Some people just don't get it. I want people to live on minimum wage and tell us what it's like. Thank you for reading my long winded probably doesn't make sense post if you made it this far.

DSD graduated from college at 22 with a 3.4 average and degree in business. She didn't want to get a job because she didn't know what she wanted to be yet. She told us all that she was going to pray for guidance. In the meantime, she was supported by her mom and dad and odd jobs babysitting. She prayed for "guidance" for 5 years before she got a regular job. I call that manipulative mooching. Her parents enabled her manipulation by telling her, gee, isn't it nice that you're such a good Christian that you're trusting in God to that degree. That whole family is a crock of shit.

When I was in high school, I went to a church where it seemed like everyone there only cared about when I was getting married and to whom. They would always try to get young teenage boys to join our church so me and my sister and some of the other girls in the congregation would have some "good Christian boys" to date. They frowned upon us dating guys from our schools because they didn't go to our church. Looking back on it, it was all VERY weird. They never really encouraged us to be exceptional women on our own, but to get a good man to marry us so we'd be good, respectable wives. I'm glad I got out of there, that's for sure.

I am sick of being your friend. I am sick of you putting down my clothes (simple but I am able to mix my outfits better and save money), my home (not your style, I get it.), my marriage (I dated my husband for years, through college and high school, I never wanted to be with anyone else and I don't feel like I was missing out.), my job (it isn't high paying enough for you), the fact I want kids (I get it, you don't want them but how does that affect me? ), my religion (I get it, you are an Atheist and I am a Christian, I don't talk to you about my religion because I respect your views, please can you stop putting down my faith?) , my weight (I was always fat, I work out and eat right for my health, that should be good enough for you). I have already erased your number, stopped texting you, blocked you from Facebook and have already told you many times how I feel but you ignore me. You are not a true friend. You are just someone who I felt obligated to be friends with but not anymore.

BFs brother made a rant on FB about religion. Some people on his friends list are die hard Christians. They got into it with him. The brother pin pointed a lot of good facts, but he did it with swearing and calling them names. The other people stated their views without being vulgar. It's people like his brother that makes people like us (who aren't Christians) look bad. Personally, I think no matter what religion you are, you need to keep it to yourself and the people who believe what you do. No one should be preaching to people who obviously don't want to be preached to. If you don't believe in Jesus, leave the Christians alone about what they want to believe. If you're Christian, stop telling people they're going to hell and trying to force Jesus on people. If you're any other religion, same rules apply. It doesn't matter what you believe in, if you harass other people about it, then you're one of the bad eggs.
