So pissed! Just moved here. I've been taking my German Shepherd mix on longer and longer walks on our country road as I get to know the neighborhood. This morning, the neighbor across the street's three dogs (Jack Russell, beagle, beagle mix) came tearing across the street. My dog and the beagle were licking each other, but the other two were trying to bite mine, who in turn tried to bite back. It was all I could do to hold on to my dog for literally five minutes of chaos, while the others were running amok, causing cars to slam on their brakes and nearly causing an accident. Another neighbor came out and held my dog while I got the owner, who wasn't very concerned and less than apologetic. She still hasn't come over to apologize. All the neighbors then told me she always lets them out, one bit a neighbor and another of their dogs was killed a couple months ago by a car. Next time, I'm letting go of the leash. And I'm filing a police report.

Or maybe it's an absolutely insane world we live in that a child can bring a project to school, it can be recognized by literally everyone including the police that it is -not- a bomb (hence why they didn't evacuate) and it turns into a giant shitstorm instead of the teachers involved saying, "Oh, well that was a silly misunderstanding. Everyone back to work!" We are living in a petty, paranoid society and it is holding us back.

I love my mom but she has mental health problems. Today she seen a dog in a car panting, she actually spotted a police officer and the officer took care of it. Which is great, don't get me wrong. However my mom feeling sorry for the dog in a way makes me sick. This is the same woman who used to call me a bitch and slut. Slap me across the face an once kicked me so hard that I had pains for a couple years. The same woman who threw a tire iron at my dads back taking out a chunk of his skin. It makes me pretty sick that she has more feelings for animals. She is nasty to everyone even her own mother who has memory problems.

I'm glad that the boy who was arrested over a clock will be able to turn a negative event into a positive outcome. The police even admitted that they knew the clock wasn't a bomb before they arrested the poor soul! Granted, I'm sure his mother would have never had him arrested. But traveling to the Whitehouse, MIT and Harvard will be such an amazing experience for him. Goodness...only in Texas would this ridiculousness happen.

I don't think the police confession is an "auto correct". Not buying it.

I had my 11 month old son with me while witnessing the woman slap her child. Just me and my baby. I knew that if I would have yelled or said something she and her psycho husband/boyfriend may have retaliated. I have decided to go to the management at the place and go from there. The police will be contacted. I have heard stories, but I have never witnessed anything like this. It was very shocking.
