Dd/27 has 2 weeks to get outta my house. I will be so relieved! Her dad is an enabler, I am not. He knows I've had enough! Took him long enough to get it, but he's got it. She has to figure out her life. I'm sick of it. Plus, going through menopause, being depressed at my job loss, almost cheating on dh, finding out how wonderful beer is, etc.... It's all been a wake up call. I am changing and won't have her holding me emotionally hostage anymore. This is my time.

Trump is not a leader. He's a showman. He's a reality TV buffoon. And the uneducated love him. The unsophisticated angry people of the nation adore him because he's loud, sloppy, stupid and untruthful. They don't have to critically think or understand anything, they don't have to study anything or grow intellectually or push past their emotional comfort points, they just get swept up in his hateful rhetoric and they enjoy hating. You need to take a look at yourself and why you enjoy hating so much. Because if you support Trump, you do.

A wife is in an abusive marriage. They have a toddler to together. W has enough & tries to leave. H threatens W if she leaves. He says he'll take child & never let wife see child again.W stays, under duress cuz she fears he'll hurt child. H has killed her self esteem. While he's at work, she made a friend online, they have an emotional affair for a few, he makes her feel beautiful & loved. She gets scared & breaks it off. She then gets intimate once with a guy who works for the same company as her H. That 1 time gives her the confidence that she isn't as ugly, useless & worthless as H tells her. It gave her the courage to call him on his bluff (threats) & just leave with the child. Would you consider what she did cheating since she tried to leave but only stayed because she was threatened by him? And she would probably still be with H if another man hadn't proved to her that she isn't unlovable or undesirable. FAV if you think it's cheating, HUG if you don't.

**pet trigger warning** I finally am emotionally stable enough to continue my pet post. I went for a run, and decided to take our stray-turned-pet dog with me. Someone wasn't paying attention and ran him over. He died and I haven't been able to stomach the idea of running again. I know I need to get out there, but I don't know if I should push myself to do it now or wait a while. I still get sick when I think about what happened to him. He was sort of mentally challenged, but he didn't run out in front of the car. She wasn't looking and was doing about 50 on our 25mph road, and didn't even see me, much less the dog. I should have left him home.

I want to help a certain person. problem is, they don't know who I am. we live a long distance apart, we've never met, and I don't have their email or phone number or anything. I just know that they're in need of someone to talk to, and I want to be able to support them emotionally. I don't know what to do.

I went through a divorce nine years ago. I never had a mental health issue prior to that, was physically healthy, well-adjusted for the most part, working at a full-time and by all accounts, a strong person. Here's what happened during my marital breakup and divorce: I lost my appetite. Completely lost it. Food made me nauseas and bloated. My body was reacting to the stress and I lost 25 pounds in five months. I was anemic. I was also sleeping poorly. The combined effects of emotional stress, poor nutrition and loss of sleep led to me feeling very depressed. The depression led to me drinking. I got pulled over one day for driving while impaired. This had an impact on me personally as well as professionally. The fact that my issues were becoming apparent to outsiders was humiliating. Not to mention my once-stable financial position was becoming precarious. I made other bad decisions. And one day I almost took my life. I think that classifies as a breakdown. So STFU judgy Judy.

It sucks having an affair. I have way more time to meet my fwb then he does. He's also a Picses man. :/ They are different for sure. Kind of emotional like women.

My best friend is going through some major shit and has SHUT ME OUT completely. She won't talk to me at all. :( She sent an email to me that she had "a lot going on," and that she's had a lot of "emotional upheaval," and when I asked her to call me so we could talk, she shut me out. I sent her a text message asking her if I could call her or to call me, again, and she gave me the, "I'm fine. Nothing I care to talk about." line. I've tried to further communicate with her, but no dice. My husband advised I give her some space and time to figure things out, but check in with her until she's ready to talk. Guess that's all I can do for now.

I took the Love Languages quiz and my love language is Words of Affirmation. I need to hear "I love you." My husband's love language has always been Acts of Service. He tells me he loves me by washing my car, etc. That's okay. I just wish that he would do more of the emotional labor and more of the thinking and talking in the relationship. I get tired of having to work everything out on my own. He prioritizes Physical Touch more than I do.
