An old coworker of mine is one of my favorite people. She's great, funny, she had four kids right out of high school and her husband left after that, so she's raising them on her own. She put herself through college and is now a paralegal. Then she had another kid recently. I still think she's a great mom etc. but part of me wants to shake her and ask what she was thinking. The poor baby has a lot of health problems and she's taken leave from work to take care of her, which I get, but at the same time - I can get when you're 19 and think you're going to be with your man forever and you want to have a boatload of kids, but after 15 years raising those kids by yourself, and you have another one by yourself?

Finally my wimp dh went to talk to his boss to give his 2 week notice! He still hasn't talked to the owner, but at least he talked to 1 boss. It takes dh forever to do anything! He wants to act manly, but deep down he's a wimp. Acts all tough with his cussing, drinking, and sports, but is still a wimp under all of it. He'll tell me and the kids off in a second though. So he's a wimp & bully!!

I'm so tired of the attention whoring from a couple of my nurse friends on fb. I've been a nurse forever. Yes, it is stressful and rewarding. However, EVERYONE in the hospital is working their asses off, not just the nurses. Hell, I feel like all I do is chart and its the tech's job to answer the call lights. Can we just recognize all the hard-working healthcare professionals for once? The doctors who are unbelievably overworked. The rad techs who have to pee but are in the middle of a test. The patient care techs who are hungry but can't go to lunch because they are busy bathing a patient. The lab staff who are hauling ass to get labs done stat. Dietary staff who are trying to feed patients who cuss them out over the food. K, sorry. Rant over.

The only thing I use on my face is witch hazel at night. It is super cheap and a bottle lasts forever. It does stink, although you get used to it. Best toner I've used, including the pricey brands, for a fraction of the cost!

Soooo....the pope's message is to equalize income so there won't be as many poor. Or we can give money to the poor on our own, but either way there will still be The Poor. Because other people will always find a way to enrich themselves off The Poor. Unless the gov't regulates the process, taking from the rich before they can give to The Poor. And the gov't can then give to The Poor, but not before the people in charge of the gov't enrich themselves. We had a war on poverty started by Lyndon Johnson. It didn't work because it started a new class of The Professional Poor....those who figured out a way to live off the system forever.

Internet dating is making my stomach turn. It feels so impersonal. The few guys I have met make it very clear they're more interested in sex than anything else. Time to cancel my subscription. It's so frustrating! I'd love to be in a relationship again - it's been a long time. I just don't know how to even meet anyone anymore. I've signed up for volunteer work and a few other group things and it seems like it's mostly women. I don't want to be alone forever but I have no prospects... boo

I'm so worried about what will happen to my dad as he ages. He has zero retirement money. I live across the country. He can't live alone forever. I don't want to end up his caretaker!! I don't have money to help him or to travel to see him often. I don't know what to do.

You know what makes me angry? When people make the abort it or keep it argument. Like adoption isn't even an option. My brother and his wife had to wait forever to adopt their son. Maybe they wouldn't have had to if more people chose that option.

So apparently "meme" is pronounced "mee mee". I've been saying "meem" forever. I'm still on the fence about how "gif" is pronounced. Guess I'm not a hip person anymore. Lol

Oh. I just looked up my original post about him being pretentious. I didn't tell him to be less douchey. But I did let him know that he doesn't need to explain things to me unless I ask. If I don't ask it means I already know or don't want to. I'm terrified of my teeth falling out so I do know quite a bit about teeth in general. And I let him know as well I'd never go to a tattoo artist that wasn't ok with actually being artistic. Its why I only have 2 tattoos. I'm very picky about who and what I get. I've had the idea I told him about for 7 years and still haven't found the right person to do it. He cut back for a while, but tonight with he car seat discussion... He definitely thinks highly of himself while somehow simultaneously being very needy and insecure. He knew I was at the zoo w ds and couldn't understand why I took forever to respond to his texts. Heaven forbid I pay attention to my child. Sorry about the sleepy rant. He just really pissed me off.
