My lovely CW just announced she is expecting next Spring. I'm happy and excited for her, but it comes with personal emotions that are mixed. I'm really sad that I'm not at that stage and I'm dreading that I will need to take on more work when she's out on FMLA since we both working on the same project, but she was the lead. Not even sure how I will manage it since I'm still just PT.

You sound like an actual Christian to me. There are a lot of people out there who think it's "Christian" to ignore and deny institutional abuse (not just within Catholicism, and not just sexual abuse, but physical and psychological), or that child marriage is "Christian," or that child-rearing tactics that essentially amount to at least, psychological abuse, sometimes even physical. A lot of people think this is consigned to the history books, but it's still happening. There are some incredibly repressive and backwards people in this country who somehow still have the audacity to claim Jesus is love, while being incredibly hateful towards children. Honestly the majority of people who are so hung up on abortion for religious reasons seem to be more about female control than saving babies. I'm sure there's a few, but the distinct minority.

Oh, for the love of Pete! I said 'karma's a bitch' because it's a VERY well-known phrase where I'm from....the midwest in the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA! I never said I wish him ill....maybe I should have said 'irony's a bitch, ain't it', but who among us has heard that phrase before?? Oh, and I never said I understand what karma is (nor do I feel the need to know, btw), just as the OP #65595 joked about. Lighten up folks! It was a tongue-in-cheek joke. Geez! PS: Don't rag on me for lovin' Pete...that, too is a well-known phrase in my neck o the woods.

DH and I got flu shots yesterday. Yes, my arm ached a bit and the injection site is kind of sore, but for the love of Baby Jesus! If we were Catholic he'd be asking for last rites. He moans and groans and has taken THREE two-hour naps in his recliner (with both arms, including the one that's too sore to lift, above his head). I've put Voltaren gel on his arm, given him two Aleve every 12 hours, and even gave him a heating pad to help with the pain. Try pushing a human out of a hole the size of a quarter you man child!!

A friend of mine said she loves sour cream so much she could put it on practically everything. For me it's Tzatziki sauce. I can eat it by the spoonfuls. I also eat peanut butter by the spoonfuls. What are some of your favorites?

Two of my Trump loving friends have posted about how they're still friends with Biden supporters, no matter our differences, and they just can't understand why Biden supporters don't support Trump lovers. Y'ALL ARE LITERALLY ATTACKING HUMAN RIGHTS. THIS IS NON-NEGOTIABLE. Fuck. Idiots. I'm shedding people from my life left and right.

I decided to limit my contact with my mom and sister. I can't stand their name-calling, Trump-loving posts. I can't relate to a woman who comes to her daughter's birthday dinner just to go on about politics and race, insisting she isn't racist but seems to paint anyone who isn't white with the same brush. Mom can post anti-abortion posts and while I don't agree with abortion, I am not going to encourage a girl to get one. So, Mom is against abortion but encourages a younger relative to get one? How does that make sense? My sister and her husband love putting fat-shaming posts, say Covid is a hoax but would take a vaccine if Trump approved it. Which is it? Is it a hoax or not? I can't bother with them. The last straw was calling democrats "enemies of the country". I unfollowed them and have stopped calling to say hello. It wasn't like they called me to check on me anyways, so now I am just returning the favor.

I love AirBnb and have had nothing but great experiences. But I've never done and never would do a shared space. I only do AirBnBs where I have the whole space to myself. I don't even like Bed and Breakfasts because I'd have to interact with them, even if we don't share any actual spaces.

My 12 year old nephew is a total boy. Loves sports, music, video games, etc. When he was 4-5 years old, he had dolls and loved to paint his nails with us. It doesn't mean anything at that age...they just want to do the things their moms and sisters and aunts and grandmas do. I can't stand it when people freak out about kids at that age...just let them be weird, unique, curious little kids. They are just trying to learn about things.

I always try to let the all the ads play through on my fave Youtubers' channel. Especially the smaller channels and the bigger ones too. I love supporting independent creators and they deserve to be compensated just as much as actors and entertainers backed by major media companies.
