I want to post #metoo but I just don't have it in me right now to defend myself from the dumbass men (and some women, too), who I've seen victim blaming. I unfriended 4 men and 1 woman this week because of their responses to #metoo. It's sad and vile and I'm just so fucking tired of it. I wish there was a way to report misogyny on Facebook.

What bugs me is that everyone takes a response to their opinion as an attack on their free speech. Literally, reply to anyone on the internet with an opinionated response, be it politely worded or otherwise, and you'll hear "well it's my opinion and FREE SPEECH, K?????" Nobody attacked your free speech dude. People seem to forget that the same free speech allows people to respond to your statement. Also, people widely misunderstand what free speech is. Facebook, Youtube and any other company on which people spew their opinions forth with gusto are not subject to "free speech", given that they are companies.

How about that crappy Younique (or something like that) mascara that was all over Facebook for awhile? I tried some that a friend was suckered into buying and..newsflash...my $6 from Wal-Mart mascara works waay better.

How old are you guys and how many facebook friends do you have? I have never seen any MLM posts in my feed. I'm 31 and have almost 200 people on my friends list. Just curious as to the anecdotal data.

So I'm scrolling through Facebook the other day and freak when I see what I think is a TBT photo of the POS I dated for two months who assaulted me, stalked me, broke into my house, had to get a restraining order, go to court, etc. But it was a picture of Charlie Day as a teenager! My only celebrity crush! I'm not gonna let this ruin Always Sunny. He fucked up enough of my life (stalker, not Charlie Day), not letting him deprive me of The Gang, lol.

I posted some meme on Facebook and my next-door neighbor posted a bunch of seriously racist comments about it. I had no idea she was so racist. Then again, I kind of thought maybe she was a bit because of her friends and stuff, but I thought she was better than that. Guess not.

Today one of my nephew's friends made a really ignorant Facebook post with a diagram about what liberals think guns are, I guess the guy is a minor celebrity. I commented that now isn't the time for gun jokes, whatever your view, hold it, people just got shot. He was like, take your liberal crybaby self out of this thread. I replied, post what you want but there's a lot of raw feelings, people whose loved ones are dead. Then blocked him. I learned how to handle a shotgun when I was 12, by 13 I could hit the middle medallion on a Jack Daniels bottle about 8 out of 10. Learned how to shoot an AK at 16. I like guns, it's a fake-power-I'm-a-badass high. Not many people know that about me. But the US needs to put common sense above NRA $. I don't like guns enough that I think we shouldn't regulate them. Let's pull in the reins, we just had 58 innocent people die. What's our country's end game? We're approaching Reservoir Dogs territory, guns drawn on everyone.

amen amen amen...I never want to see another Jam berry nails or pampered chef party on my facebook feed ever again. Another one that is big right now is Posh. I don't care how great you think the products are I just don't think they are worth the $$$ and I don't like the pressure

A bunch of moms I'm friends with are now selling this whitening toothpaste (it's an MLM) and they're all over Facebook talking about this "amazing tooth-whitening toothpaste" but if you comment on their post they won't mention the name of it, "I'll PM you", so it's like a big secret or something. Also they ALL sell it but they comment on each other's posts like they JUST discovered this toothpaste and "Wow, thanks so much for telling me about this, it's amazing" and they keep using these canned responses back and forth, "I feel like I just came from my dentist's office!" and "I just love the fresh taste". OK, first of all, I don't care if you want to sell toothpaste but don't be so super shady and fake about it. Make me immediately not want to try it.

I get the weirdest feeling looking at friend's facebook pics of their daughters... late teens/early 20's, most of them. These girls are wearing a lot of makeup, perfect brows, perfect lashes and lips.. there's some serious work that goes into these makeup looks. But there's a certain fakeness about it. They're beautiful girls, but the 'instagram brows' and all that goes with it.. it really is sort of like they're wearing masks or something. It just looks strange to me. These are young beautiful girls and I don't think it looks right when they're that painted up. Of course, I keep my trap shut and come here to tell all of you about it.
