Well my New Year started off great but that is most likely going to come to a screeching halt today. I'm pretty sure DH is going to get fired again. He drank before he went to work this morning( I drive him to work ). Well his work sent him out for a surprise drug test. It's been seven hours so maybe he will get lucky but I doubt it. The nurse told him he needs to talk to the HR person when he gets back. I don't know what to do I love him but I hate him for drinking.

Truly wondering what does a dental hygienist have to be snobby about? It's not like being a doctor or a nurse. Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought it was just a certificate or a 2 year associates degree?

I understand a dental hygienist being "snobby" about their profession. Probably because I'm a nurse and snobbery runs rampant in the medical profession. Nurses are the fucking worst lol!

My kid's school makes me so mad. Last year he was sent to the principal because he accidentally brushed a girl's butt while running by. The girl said he touched her butt and without finding out his side of the story, they put him in the principal's office and when he would not cop to their story, they stuck him in a suspension room. When the whole story came out an hour later my kid was really upset and I basically was about to rip everyone's heads off. So today a boy throws ice and hits my kid in the temple leaving a bruise and knot. The recess teacher didn't send my kid to the nurse and didn't question the other kid. And neither did my child's teacher.WTF is going on there? You make a huge deal over a perceived butt touch and when a kid is straight up injured by another kid it's no big deal. I don't want this other kid's head on a platter, but they should have sat him down and let him know throwing ice and hitting people is serious. That place makes me effing nuts.

We have a cat, a dog and two chinchillas. People keep asking when we're getting rid of all our pets (I'm 36 weeks pregnant). I'm soooo close to sticking my foot up someones ass about it. Stop asking, it's rude. How about, we're not ever getting "rid" of any of our animals? They're not trash, they're not disposable. My MIL is freaking out because we let the cat and dog run around the nursery--she insists our son will develop allergies because of it and the animals should be kept separate from the baby. Nope, nope, nope. Glad my DH agrees with me.

Yesterday my son who is 11 came home (he has emotional issues) and was in a bad mood. I asked him for some help moving boxes upstairs and he started freaking and kicking things so I grabbed his arm to stop him. After he calmed down we both went about our day and I didn't think of the incident again. Today he came hone from school and mentioned he told the nurse at school I attacked him. I am in a full fledged panic has anyone Bern through anything similar? I would never hurt my son not to mention I am 7 months pregnant and he has a good 2 inches on me

I'm a nurse. I worked in a mental Health institution for a few months and got to understand patients with borderline personality disorder. The more I was there, the harder it became to deny to myself that I also have borderline personality disorder. I'm so scared and ashamed to admit it to anyone or get diagnosed officially and get help. Because honestly, I didn't feel like the help provided did any good for those patients anyways. I feel like my life and career will be over. It explains why I can't keep any relationships. I mean I haven't had a bf in 5 years or even one friend. Fuck.

From the moment my cousin left the hospital after giving birth she started wearing a corset/body binder around her torso 24/7, except for when she showered or slept at night. She went on a weird diet where she would eat 4 meals a day plus 2 of those shakes you make in a blender. She brought a treadmill and a yoga mart and put in the room across from the nursery so she could exercise while keeping an eye on the baby. She would also go for runs early at like 5am, or go jogging with the baby in the stroller. Although she works from home here in Canada we get a year of maternity leave, but she still put her baby in daycare for a few hours a couple of times a week so she could go to the gym and work out. She also leaves the baby with friends, relatives or her husband so she can hit the gym. Her and her DH only want one child, so DH got snipped to prevent any more and when the baby was 6 months old she stopped breastfeeding and had a tummy tuck and breast lift, and after that she had laser skin treatments on her stomach to get rid of the pregnancy stretch marks and surgery scars (apparently they had a fund with money saved for this purpose) It's been about a year since she gave birth, and she looks like a fitness model, just like she did before she got pregnant. My cousin is the most selfless and down to earth person I have ever met, so I just don't understand her narcissism and ugly attitude regarding all of this.

When my mom was in a nursing home in 2002 she lost 40 pounds and was emaciated. I later found out that the reason was the nurses aides were stealing about half her food and Ensure to bring home. When I questioned why she losing so much weight I was told she was refusing to eat. Then, I caught the aide pocketing items before bringing the tray into her room. I demanded the aide be fired on the spot or I would go to the news media. She was fired.

I can see why the OP whose father is sick is taking care of him herself. Nursing homes are horrible places, I used to work in one in the office. It was "better" one too. One day a woman came in at not her usual time to visit her mother and found the mother soaked in her own urine. She cleaned her mother herself, then she screamed at the nurse on the floor behind the desk for a good 10 minutes. A few days later, a woman came to visit her grandfather She was from out of town and no one recognized her as she walked in. Her grandfather was half dressed and lying on the floor. He had fallen while trying to clean himself up after a toilet accident. She went berserk, the police were called. They just told her to calm down, she did but a day later the home received a visit from the state.
