So tired of hearing about these racists attacking people for speaking Spanish in public. Ignorant turds. So many other countries have citizens accustomed to speaking 2, 3 languages. In America so many people only speak English and expect everyone else to, even when they travel abroad. Makes me ashamed and embarrassed of this country.

I had a thing for big, rolling living room American party cars. I only drove Cadillacs and Lincolns from 20 to my late 30s. Now I only care about mileage, value and reliability. But I heard that Stray Cat's Cadillac song the other day and now I want one, lol. But I just paid off my car so that's not gonna happen.

Most of us here are capable of caring about other countries while still being concerned about America. I can see how that would be a struggle for you. And, yes, profit driven healthcare is terrible for people in the long run. Corporations don't care about people. They care about money. If you don't see the problem with that, there's no help for you.

The shit show that is America!? WTF? Have you seen news about Somalia, about half of Africa, Venezuela, Cuba, Iraq? Everybody is poor there! REALLY POOR, not just can't afford the latest cell phone or car. DIRT POOR and no running water, no car, maybe a goat for milk if they're lucky. They die of horrible curable diseases and as I write this probably a hundred more are dying in the shit show that is Africa. Really, you should travel more or at least watch a TV channel that isn't the shit show OF America.

Except that many of the brilliant scientists who developed the vaccines never intended for them to make people money. When you mix money and healthcare, you end up with the shit show that is America. You end up with a fucked up eugenics experiment where the wealthy get to live and the poor die off.

Well, my sister and her husband voted for Trump... he's epileptic, she's had gastric bypass, many digestive issues, chronic asthma. They both get insurance via the open market. They are not rich. Welcome to our new normal, folks! It sucks when you realize the government you voted for considers you the"them." They're the "us" and preexisting conditions doesn't apply to the people who voted for this travesty of a healthcare bill. And a shout out to my Trump loving brother, who's obese with a wife that has serious mental health issues. Good luck and thanks for making America great again.

My dad told me a funny story last night. My grandparents were union organizers in a southern mill town in the forties. They defied a court order to stop striking. My tiny grandmama was the union secretary but avoided arrest by only marching on the side of the picket line away from the police and then she'd walk backwards, lol. My grandad got arrested and had to spend three weekends in jail with his friends. The sheriff was their buddy so he opened all the cells so everyone could hang out and play hearts. The wives brought baskets of food which my granddad loved since by grandmom was a terrible cook. It's amazing that people like that are responsible for our 40 hour work weeks and breaks. I also researched and found out Grandmama was instrumental in getting women and minorities into the union. American badass indeed.

I have worked in this building 15 years. The first year: Was told about staff member who killed his girlfriend and dismembered her. Year two: Employee has freak accident in adjacent parking garage, backs her Suburban off the sixth floor, crushed to death. Year three: Man commits suicide, leaping off seventh story of same garage. Kids attack local homeless man, he dies in front of the building. Quiet for a few years. Man sets his truck on fire in front of building then walks two blocks and jumped in front of train. Man attacked and beaten in public bathroom. Yesterday someone OD'd and died in same bathroom. This area was settled in late 1800s and was the scene of massacres and wars between native Americans and settlers. When I lived in the neighborhood, it was the worst four years of my life. This place is a vortex of pain and trouble. Oh, and an employee was run over in front of the building and died right before I started. So many weird, awful things.
