I just bought my 21 y/o niece and 16 y/o nephew coloring books for Christmas. My niece is getting Dancing with Jesus and my nephew is getting Dinosaurs with Jobs. I love that they are getting older and I can get them funny stuff now. I think I might get Unicorns are Jerks for my niece's boyfriend.

So Canada just elected the liberal party. Their platform? Run a deficit, raise taxes, give people cheap day care so that people without kids can pay for it and legalize marijuana so we can look "cool". Jesus Christ.

I honestly don't know why Christians these days focus so much on homosexuality and abortion. I'm assuming it's because they're very politically charged topics, but it's also just a way for them to hate on people "in the name of God". I think that if Jesus were here today, he'd be especially kind to everyone who is bullied, poor, gay, transgendered, homeless, etc. and would probably be really upset with the so-called religious groups we have. If you read about when he was here on Earth, it was basically the same thing--he was nice the people that everyone thought were trash and the church leaders at the time were more obsessed with stoning people for things than showing them love. I think this is part of why I struggle with organized religion. I just don't think it's very easy to find any religious groups that seem to be on the same page as Jesus was.

Oh, and they didn't buy me the crucifix - it was one of their personal ones, and it's very old. Also very ornate and unique - I've never seen another one like it. They gave several of us neighbors some of their things. They also gave me a crystal decanter/glasses set, some very large and ornate angels (the kind you put on top of a Christmas tree) from Italy, and wall plaques that match the crucifix which have sculptures of Jesus and Mary's faces. The crucifix is the only one I still have. I just can't get rid of it.

If Jesus was the son of God, you'd think God would have given him social media. Jesus: "OMG! Help!"

Why are people so devoted to the scripture? Like a bunch of ancient parables and stories are somehow related to life today? There's really only one thing we need to do and that is treat others the way we'd like to be treated. All the rest is just fluff. If Jesus can't text and tweet, he's kinda out of touch. Text me, Jesus, to let me know you're real!!!! (but don't drive while you're doing it and don't turn the water in your plastic bottle to wine until you get off the road)

You know what, self? It's freaking beans and rice. There is 2 tsp of oil in it. It is healthy! Have another fucking serving if you want it! Jesus. Stop being such a baby.

(If and) When Jesus Christ comes down to Earth, it will be because of these scandalous ass Christians, not the true normal sinners that He died for.
