Oh my lord... no. Women don't just terminate a 30 week pregnancy for the hell of it. Just stop with this misogynistic bs. When you're talking about late term abortion, you're talking about extreme cases. There is ALWAYS a reason why women seek a late term abortion. It might not be a reason you understand, but it's a reason, nonetheless, and "I'm sick of being pregnant" is never the reason in a mentally sound patient. I understand you don't want to do the research, but trust me, there are plenty of studies out there that go against the "women will terminate a late term pregnancy for no reason" narrative.

Why do people think that their religion gives them the right to be an asshole? Newsflash: it doesn't. If you're being a discriminatory prick and hiding behind your belief structure, guess what? You're still a shitty human who deserves to be called out on your disgusting beliefs. If laws don't protect women, gays, or people of color, dafuq makes you think your pathetic religion is going to keep you safe from criticism? If your religion says it's fine to take away fundamental human rights, you need some empathy and a new church.

Oh for Pete’s sake. Does anyone really need to be taught how to do laundry, barring any developmental issues? I’ve done my kids’ laundry for years. My oldest is a college freshman, living nearby on campus. She’s on the dean’s list. She does her own laundry, cleans her dorm and does her own banking just fine. She doesn’t act entitled. She never asks for shit. I guess by doing her laundry, I really dropped the ball as a parent.

My mom stopped doing my laundry when I was in the third grade, because she was mentally unwell. She never taught me how to do it myself. I have kids now, and while they help with the laundry, and know how to do it, my husband and I do the bulk of it. They're kids. They have the rest of their lives to do their laundry. It's our responsibility. It's kind of a sore subject with me, really. They didn't ask to be here. They know how to cook and take care of themselves, but until they leave my home, or turn into mouthy teenagers, I'll happily take care of them. It's sort of my job as their mom.

I took some paid time off for 2 days through the PTO system (mostly for mental health. It's been tough for me this Jan) and my supervisor asked me what I was going to be doing, if I was going to be 'having fun'. I just looked at her and said I had some things to take care of. Um...none of your business first of all? It's paid time off, I don't have to tell you anything? Why do you want to know??

I would never be able to buy designer handbags or shoes, I'd just have too much guilt over what else I could be spending that money on. It's just a mentality that's left over from spending much of my adult life as a poor person with kids. It's cool though. I like the handbags they have on amazon. :) The shoes, too.

So much THIS. Happy? Eat. Sad? Eat. Bored? Eat. Lonely? Eat. Favorite TV show is on?Eat (okay, this is more of a habit, but you get what I'm saying). Severing emotion from nourishment is one of the healthiest things you can do for yourself. That candy bar isn't bringing you joy, regardless of what you're telling yourself. It's giving you a temporary rush of dopamine from the reward center of your brain, and that's keeping you hooked on the emotion + food = happiness cycle. We all do it and most of us do it way too much, hence the rising obesity epidemic. It's one reason why getting serious about losing weight is so difficult and mentally exhausting.

We're taught from a very young age to associate food with happiness and reward. I don't mean the joy of bonding with people that a meal can bring; it's the "good job, here's a cookie" mentality. It's the thought process of rewarding yourself with junk food for doing something "good." It's honestly a huge mind fuck once you confront these thoughts and start learning how to think differently. I'm not a dog. I don't need a biscuit for being a good girl.

Same here. I think people with that mentality get a lot of joy out of food and eating. I get it. I used to, too. But now, I see food as fuel, not a source for happiness. And a lot of stuff that is processed, like candy and junk food, just tastes terrible to me now. I used to LOVE Reese's, but it tastes like sweet chemicals. I'm sure if I started eating that stuff again, my taste buds would go back to what they were, but why would I? My life is full of joy. I promise.

It isn't vapid celebrity gossip. It's encouraged a dialog about mental health. I couldn't care less about their personal lives, but because of Pete's tweets, people are discussing things like borderline personality disorder, codependency, suicidal ideation, and how it isn't Arianna's fault that her ex is threatening suicide. A lot of women get blamed when they don't coddle their partner's mental illness and I'm glad to see people speaking up for her. My ex husband has bpd and that shit is no joke. He, his family, and even my family blamed me for his suicide threats when I finally said enough is enough and divorced him. If you don't want to read about Pete Davidson then don't read about him.To someone like me, this story hits home.
