I have Binge Eating Disorder. Some of my earliest memories are of bingeing. I remember being 3 or 4 years old and eating whole packs of raw hot dogs, entire boxes of cereal, anything I could sneak into my room. I was never abused. I had a great childhood. It is not psychological. It is a physical need to eat all the time. I spent most of my life overweight, but am a normal weight now. I still binge. But I have restricted what foods I can eat. I basically eat Whole30 all the time. No sugar. That said, i can an entire chicken at a time. I can eat 10 eggs. I have been to therapy a gazillion times over decades. But it doesn't work because like I said, this is not psychological. Some meds have helped, but they wear off after a few months. I watch My 600 Pound Life, and I get it. I see what they eat, and I have totally done that before. I think a lot of people fall into the same category as I do. cont'd

I'm overweight and an old diet and fitness obsessed coworker of mine used to subtly food and body shame me all the time. She left for another position a few years ago but she's now back. She's put on at least 40 lbs since then. It's taking everything I can to not say to her the things she used to say to me. I want to, but I won't.

i need to lose weight. i want to start running outdoors again but i'm too embarrassed to. i'm fat and out of shape and am not comfortable with running in public. i'm too self-conscious about my body. i don't like treadmills. i guess i'll exercise some other way in private in the meantime.

I found out at the doctor yesterday that my weight is at the highest it's been in a while. I am just now in the "normal" weight range vs. underweight before. Rational me tells me this is good; Eating Disorder me tells me to get my fat ass back out running and cutting back on the treats. :(

DH has recently gained a bit of weight and now he's been having issues keeping it up in the bedroom. I told him he needs to see a doctor about it because I am NOT going to put up with no/terrible sex for the rest of our lives. It's probably just because he doesn't exercise and likely has high cholesterol.

Ugh those taste like cardboard. I used to love them as a kid, but when I started losing weight i found them to be a big waste of calories.

I was at the grocery store yesterday and there was a woman and her about 2 year old daughter, maybe 3, sitting in the art. The little girl was obese. Not a little chubby like a lot of toddlers, but very overweight. The mom was picking out several donuts while talking to her daughter. She was asking, "Which one do you wan first?" implying that she was going to have more than one. She gave the girl one of them while she was there. Sorry, but I think this is actually abusive. And I am someone who has had weight issues for my entire life. Ironically, mom was quite slim, very well-dressed, made-up, etc. She obviously placed importance on her appearance.

I'm just gonna have to woman up and accept the fact that I'm gonna have to endure a lot of hunger in order to lose the weight. tactics like drinking a ton of water (1-2 gallons a day) and filling up on protein and fat (while staying within my calorie budget) to stave off hunger don't work for me. i wish losing weight didn't have to be so miserable.

Have you ever known someone who only wanted to get to know you because they wanted to... I don't know... judge you? Project some weird jealousy (that has nothing to do with you) onto you? I'm like catnip to these bitches and I'm over it. At my last job, there was a girl who was obsessed with me for years. I chalked it up to her just being young and immature, but I changed jobs and my boss is just like her. I caught onto her pretty quickly, luckily. The one time she asked me about myself, she got really passive aggressive and talked about me behind my back, so I just decided to keep everything business with her. I'd hoped that by keeping to myself she would back off, but now it's like she's created this whole false narrative about me and tells people things about me that aren't true, like that I'm obsessed with my weight and obsessively play video games. I just don't understand it. I keep to myself. I'm nice to everyone. I guess that puts a target on my head for insecure psychos.

I'm so tired of the keto trend. It's making things a PITA at work because we have to break down all the sugar additions/sugar alcohols/etc. I don't doubt it works to make you lose weight but I don't think it's sustainable or safe to stay on long term. Even the people who do it "as a lifestyle" take breaks from it once in a while. I'll stick to my fruits and veggies and quinoa and salmon--limiting all these fruits and things with any carbs at all just seems counterintuitive to me.
