"5 planet Earth's worth resources to support the average American" Ok that doesn't even make sense, and why is "the average American" the measurement?? Like you are the center of the universe??

Yes!! I totally agree, OP. We buy used cars, used clothes, and we buy electronics only once and keep them until they die. We just don't tend to buy a lot of things very often, I guess. It seems so wasteful to us to spend money on replacing things that are perfectly good. We have the dining room table and chairs my parents gave us secondhand and they're still perfectly good. Consumerism is what drives the economy, I suppose, but yeah...think about this: It takes 5 planet Earths' worth of resources to support the average American. It's sort of ridiculous.

Ever get into a car accident with someone who didn't have car insurance? I have. Twice. Both drivers were also under the influence and both were white Americans. I would love to label their asses as illegals, but that's reserved for people from other countries who pay more taxes than the president. Both accidents cost me thousands of dollars. It's amazing how racists try to justify using racist terms.

Look, if you aren't going to be mad at the American employer employing workers illegally, then don't be mad at all. Because the AE is the one making it easy for the workers to come here and work. And if you truly cared about "illegals" being illegal, I hope you are not hiring your gardener without vetting him and his citizenship status, or patronizing restaurants and making sure all employees are US born citizens, or going to schools and making sure all students aren't undocumented..do something about all this, stop bitching about it all. I think you just want to bitch bitch bitch and cry "merica first but won't do anything about anything! STFU or join the fucking Border Patrol. The other OP was right, quit being a snowflake whiny crybaby!

Absolutely. I think labeling people as illegal has become so normal, we don't question it. It's like how African Americans were once commonly referred to as coloreds. It wasn't viewed as racist until people started questioning it and calling it what it is- racist. Our language evolves and we need to question it. Just because it's "normal" doesn't mean it's right.

(I'm not original OP, I'm gen speaking) You can say illegals all you want, I'm still calling you a racist when you blame America's troubles, demise, woes whatever on ONLY them, but won't denounce the troubles created by American born citizens. FOH.

Hello! I'm your friendly neighborhood addiction counselor from the eastern coast of TX. I understand that it makes you feel good when you point a finger at people from other countries (really feeds the old ego), but you're wrong. Sure, Americans abused heroin, but the actual EPIDEMIC is, in fact, the result of big pharma and doctors handing out opioid scripts. People trusted their healthcare providers and became addicted. It's actually easier for an addict to score prescription drugs than heroin because these meds are being sold on the street by everyone from healthcare staff to little old ladies in nursing homes. So, if you want to use racist terms like "illegals," go ahead. I can't stop you. But it's white 'Mericans who created this epidemic.

Wow. Just wow. You sound like trump! STFU. That's not how the drug epidemic is happening. The other posters are right, big pharma got a nice hold on the drug-dealer market! But also, look around... there are meth labs all around you. America does just fine manufacturing and trafficking drugs here. Oh, and watch out for El Chapo he's gonna getcha!

I live in South Florida and the opiate problem is the fault of drug companies. Read the book "American Pain" and learn how the drug companies lied to doctors and told them oxycodone wasn't addictive. Get educated before you spew stupid bullshit.

Sad for people without health insurance. One of them being, my 26 year old dd. I'm looking online and don't know where to begin? We live in California. Health care should NOT be an issue for anyone in the United States that is an American citizen and is here legally!
