I'm not crazy about Biden either, but when it comes down to election day, our only real choices will be Biden or Trump. We do have other awesome people running right now, but they won't ultimately make the ticket. You can support them until the cows come home in the primaries, but they won't get the nomination. The whole system is rigged.

So the question then becomes who can offer the best policies and appeal to take on Trump while getting people to look past the political shorthand.

I can't believe how much the online Trump troll activity has increased lately. I check my two local news Facebook pages daily and the trolls are rampant. Worse than usual. I report them, and all their comments, but there are so many now. It's like playing whack-a-troll. At least the fake pages are easy to spot.

So Trump wants to drop all the immigrants off in sanctuary cities. Fair enough. Then I think he should also drop all the kids in foster care off at the anti-abortion advocates houses. Start with the politicians in Washington and states like Ohio. Surely they'll be happy to care for them.

South Bend is liberal? You just made this Hoosier, who was born in SB, wheeze laugh. The only blue bubble in Indiana is Bloomington. People in SB voted for Pete because he's a white, male veteran. If a woman with the same credentials had run, she would have lost. People here distrust women more than gay men. And most people who voted for Pete also voted for Trump. This is why I laugh when people think they know Trump voters. I'm a blue dot here and they confuse the hell out of me. I'm curious how much time you've spent in SB to make such a ridiculous statement. SB is a blue collar, industrial city with a Republican majority and is in no way liberal. Just like Fort Wayne. They have a Democrat mayor but the majority voted for Trump and are Republican.

I think a lot of people don't understand the midwest. The people don't fit into the little boxes that the TV tells you they do. It's weird. Look at the 2016 primary. Bernie Sanders won numerous Republican states. The people who voted for him don't care if people are gay or black or Mexican. They smoke weed, and want it legalized. Many are even pro-choice, and all for universal healthcare. These same people then voted for Trump when HRC got the nomination. I can't even begin to explain it.

This isn't the 1950s. Anyone who openly attacks a candidate for being gay will be eaten alive. The majority of normal, everyday people don't care about a candidate's sexuality. PB is a faithfully married, devout Christan man and he isn't afraid to challenge Trump. I think he's got a chance.

I used to be friends on FB with some people that I grew up going to church with. I noticed that whenever I would post anything about my family and/or my struggles in life, they ignored my posts. But the second I posted anything even remotely political, they were the first to attack me with the whole "Christians should support Trump!" bullshit. So that is why I unfriended them and this is the big problem with the church and why I no longer attend that church.
