Using any words has the potential to offend anyone and I think it's laughable you have assigned yourself morality police.

I'm a democrat and I support a strong military. I also support our armed forces after they're done with active duty. That is a huge difference between a Dem and Rep. I support the police, but I don't think they have been held accountable for their actions for a long time. Change is necessary. Change can be good. What does feminism have to do with sending your kids to a private school? ?????

I'm a feminist but will never be a Democrat. I used to be until I realized that Dem rantings about equality blah blah blah don't apply to them. How many members of US Senate and Congress send their kids to public school? Probably none. How many ride public transportation ever? All politicians are elitists but I prefer to vote for the ones who won't give my tax dollars to people who don't work. Especially if they are illegally in the USA. I also support the police. And a strong military, so we don't end up speaking Arabic or Chinese. Women rights won't mean a thing if we're conquered by countries who dont have any.

Earlier this year my niece was killed by a drunk/high driver. She worked two jobs, one in Public Health with the government and one as a Nursing Clerk in a hospital. She also volunteered at the hospital and at a women’s shelter. She was a patron of the local humane society as well as being both a hair and blood donor. She looked after her elderly grandparents on days when their personal support worker was off. She financially assisted her retired parents, and her younger brother with college tuition payments. She always held doors and carried groceries for people. She would go into a coffee shop and pay for all the people in line behind her. At Christmas she would anonymously send $100 bills to people in need she had met throughout the year. She was always up to help a charitable cause and it seemed like every other week/weekend she was helping with some fundraiser or dropping off donations somewhere. Her co-workers said she was the hardest working person they knew and more people than we could count said she was the kindest person they had ever met. She was considering joining the army reserves. In death she was an organ donor who saved 5 lives and restored someone’s sight. Over 2000 people came to her funeral. The drunk driver who killed her was born to a mother on welfare (who didn’t know who the father was) and grew up in the government housing projects. He was kicked out of 3 different inner city schools for bad behavior before dropping out at age 13. He was picked up by the police for the first time at the age of 9 and arrested over 4 dozen times before he killed my niece. He had 2 previous drunk driving convictions, as well as convictions for dealing drugs and possessing weapons. At the time he killed her he was out on bail for drug offenses and had violated his parole several times. He had been going faster than the speed limit because in his drunken high stupor he thought the police were chasing him. He was sent to jail. Outside the court afterwards his drug addicted mother said that they wanted probation instead of jail because sending her son to jail would be a “great loss to the community”. Seriously.

I was raped by a few of my mom's boyfriends growing up. It happened for 5 years by the one we lived with. I told my mom once and she called me a slut and accused me of trying to steal her "man". My 6th grade teacher reported the rapes, abuse and neglect to CPS. 2 men from CPS showed up, I told them about it and how my mom beat us, etc. I remember my mom taking them to her bedroom for a long time, then they left. I didn't realize what must have happened in that room until I was much older. When I was 17 a guy I was dating tried to rape me. Said I owed him for the money he spent on our dates. His mom showed up during the struggle(fight) and was mad at me for a lamp that broke when I hit him to get him off of me. I had confided in them about my past and they used it to keep me from reporting it. Said no one would believe me because I technically wasn't a virgin and I have a drunk wh**e mother. That's why mine never made it as far as the police. Even before them threatening me that way I knew in elementary school the chances of anyone believing me, caring enough to do something about it or the police actually pressing charges were slim to non.

There lots of false rape allegations. I have known a few personally and seen a lot more in the media. I have a cousin that cried rape for years and years. She openly cried rape to everyone she knew and encountered to tarnish a guys name but refused to go to the police and wouldn't let her parents. at 30 years old she still didn't have a drivers license because of the alleged rape. She claimed she couldn't take the test for fear a man would be giving the driving test and she would be uncomfortable. She did drive around town when she wanted to go shopping but if her children needed to go to the doctor she would make her mother drive two hours to her home to take them. She constantly brought up the rape and to make the family feel bad for her and people would give her money to pay bills because she "couldn't" work because of her rape that happened years ago. She eventually got her first job at 33 when her husband left her. I could understand if she was always uncomfortable and traumatized but she openly flirted with other guys besides her DH. She even went as far as trying to hook up with my husband and a few other men married into the family. The reason her husband left her was because of her cheating. Finally at 35 she admitted nothing ever happened and was never raped when people got tired of listening to her and quit helping her financially. My cousins step father passed away and her mother couldn't give her as much money as she used to and the cousin got mad and threw it in her face she had been playing her and the rest of the family for years and had in fact never been raped. She apparently got mad the guy wouldn't sleep with her because she was so young and his sister's best friend. So yes false rape allegations exist. You may not be able to wrap your head around why someone would falsely accuse someone but there are a lot of twisted people that would do anything for attention or financial gain.

Some stranger saw my post on a photo on Instagram and saw that I used the word "damn" and had a cow and told me how would my mother like that? First of all, I'm nearly 40 and this person looks to be 16. Stop lecturing me, kiddo. Second, my mother could care less, she's worse than me! Third, you really think you can police the internet for language? You can't even touch it. You need to let it go and get a life, you'll never be able to do it. Fourth, freedom of speech. If you don't like it, tough shit. It's not up to you to dictate what the world says, does, types, and thinks. Fifth, if you are that bothered by the word "damn", you are NOT going to get far in life, sweetheart! Toughen up!

Racism is so much more than slavery, denying the right to vote, etc. It is much more subtle. CNN recently reported a study where groups of people were shown videos of some guy attacking another guy with a knife. In the first video, it was two white guys and afterwards when asked about it, almost all of the people correctly identified the attacker. In the second video, it was a white guy with a knife attacking a black guy, but when asked to recall it, 60% - that's SIXTY PERCENT - of people mistakenly identified the black man as the knife-wielding aggressor. I'm sure most of those people didn't consider themselves racist, and may not even have realized that they did it. It's so ingrained, that we don't notice it. The fact is, police do tend to react more quickly and more harshly when the person is black. The black population does earn less money than whites - for the same jobs. You may not see it with your blue eyes, but it there, and it's very real.

I can see why the OP whose father is sick is taking care of him herself. Nursing homes are horrible places, I used to work in one in the office. It was "better" one too. One day a woman came in at not her usual time to visit her mother and found the mother soaked in her own urine. She cleaned her mother herself, then she screamed at the nurse on the floor behind the desk for a good 10 minutes. A few days later, a woman came to visit her grandfather She was from out of town and no one recognized her as she walked in. Her grandfather was half dressed and lying on the floor. He had fallen while trying to clean himself up after a toilet accident. She went berserk, the police were called. They just told her to calm down, she did but a day later the home received a visit from the state.

The same DA that declined to prosecute Wilson has decided to prosecute a black police officer for 2nd degree assault. Apparently striking a person's hand with a baton is "excessive force." You cannot make this up.
