I actually belong to a Facebook group for Christians who feel betrayed by their church for promoting Trump. In fact many are so at odds with what their religious leaders are promoting they are thinking of leaving their church....even their faith...altogether. The page is run by pastor John Pavlovich (not sure I spelt it right) but he is SO clear and loving and open even some non-religious folks follow him, well, religiously! Excuse the pun.

I appreciate all the 'Happy Mother's Day' wishes, cards, and Facebook posts. I really do. But it's so damned hard because seven years ago today my Mom passed away. I think I'll go lie down and have a pity party.

Prior to Obamacare, no one was dying on the streets. Hospitals cannot deny care if someone can't afford it. Private charities are more efficient in taking care of the needy than huge government bureaucracies. Look to the rich people you all hate for the charity money needed and BTW read this about Kimmel's baby: [url]http://www.dailywire.com/news/15993/5-th...

I showed it to her after the issue of feminism came up on here, and she and I were discussing the women who voted for Trump. She brought up how women are taught to tear each other down, instead of building each other up, so I showed her this thread. I can't help her response. This place is far from the comment section on Facebook. Minus the bickering, we have some good discussions on here. And as far as the internet stranger aspect of it, you just took the time to make a post to an internet stranger. That's what we do here. Even if we show our screen names, we're still anonymous.

Facebook rant...if I don't know you I'm not going to accept your friend request, unless maybe we have some groups in common or have had a chat on a page or group first. Especially not if you don't even bother to message me first to say hello, and are a dude (because lets face it we know what you want and the fact that I look about 13 in my Facebook profile makes it extra creepish). Also, why in the hell do men send PMs to strange women asking them out or god forbid telling said women they want to fuck you and sending a dick pic? This aint Tinder pal and this isn't why most people are here. Have literally had about three guys expose themselves to me on FB this year, and it has never happened before this.

I have a question about Facebook friending. I recently friended a yoga instructor in my area so I can see when her yoga classes are taking place. That's the only reason. We're not "friends" in real life. So now all these people who are HER friends are sending me friend requests, which I find annoying. I think it's only so they can promote their businesses because why else would they send a friend request? So I ignore and delete those. What do you think, is that kinda rude to ask someone to friend you for that reason?

For some reason, having a Facebook friend request I send out be ignored or rejected REALLY bothers me.

I wish I could message you somehow. I'm in a secret stepmum group on Facebook, it's secret and a very small group of stepmums in the group and they're all nice, no drama and very supportive and offer good advice. It isn't searchable on Facebook, someone in the group has to add you. I wish I knew you or could secretly send you a message so I could add you. It's a nice little supportive but small group, never any drama or negativity.

So DD18 wants to go out an a date with a boy. She's still in HS, still lives at home, and TBH is a very young 18. So, DH & I have to give permission for her to go out on dates. I asked her what the boy's name is, and DH looked him up on facebook. Nothing crazy, he graduated last year and posts normal stuff, and .. photos of him and a girlfriend. The photos got DH all fired up. I asked DH when the photos were from. So he, all in a huff, says to me, "There was one on there from Jan 2016!!" So I asked, is that the most recent one? "Yes." It's clear he's still upset. I was like, "That was over a year ago. He isn't going out with her anymore." DH thinks if that's true, why didn't he take the pictures down? Because nobody does that. Right? Seriously, I'm asking. Do you take photos of ex's off your facebook page? I dunno. Hm. But, we did agree for her to go on a dinner date with the boy. I asked her if he had a girlfriend and she said, "Really, mom? No. He doesn't have a girlfriend."

What is Wrong with You

I'm usually not so thin-skinned, and I hate how it effects me. Twice in the past few months I've tried to engage in Facebook conversations - basically I'll comment on someones post on say a movie page, sports team page... and someone will have an opposing view and lash out. One guy decided to message me and call me horrible names. Him and the guy from tonight both told me to kill myself. Wow, people are awful! There's no excuse, but had I bullied to or done something that's one thing... the one guy, I never even acknowledged him! Why are people so damn angry and hateful? I need to remind myself just to not ever put a comment on anything anymore except a friends page. I just spent 30 minutes making everything private, took down those 5 photos you can choose to put up on the front page. People suck. And for the record I was always private but a few generic photos and profile, cover photos. But now I just took it all down. Sigh.
