Put a tablespoon of flax into my Nutri Ninja smoothie this morning. My flax is already ground, but I always could still taste the texture in smoothies made in my KitchenAid blender, but not in this new blender! It was awesome. There were the smallest of particles on the cup afterwards, but they were easy to wash off and no where as big as the particles left on the KitchenAid jar. Not sure how well it would work if you used whole flax seeds, but I'm impressed with this thing so far!

Thank you for announcing to the family that I have "yet again" not gotten pregnant. I told you this in confidence. I was sad and confused by it all. It was *so* nice that you went into the kitchen, folded your stupid arms and announced it like it was your fucking business. You instigate drama, you don't know how to keep shit to yourself and whenever someone does the same to you, you get irrationally angry. You are a horrible person, a gossip and the worst sister.

I went to the store for a NutriBullet. Came home with a NutriNinja. Dumb names. Whatever. But I just made the smoothest smoothie I've had since my roommate had a Vitamix! It beats my KitchenAid blender's butt. And I can actually clean the cups without getting scratched because the blades are in the lid. I love this thing. It's smaller, yes, but I think it will be worth it. So glad I did this.

Haven't seen dh in days. We've both been super busy. I'm sitting on the couch, doing schoolwork, when he gets home. He immediately pops an attitude because ds is asleep and nobody came bounding in to say hey all up in his face when he got here. He was mumbling in the kitchen, so I ignored him. I hate yelling between rooms and I was in the middle of writing an essay and didn't want to lose my train of thought, so waited for him to come to me. Nope, he comes through the living room, whining about how nobody wants to see him, ignores me saying hi, and locks himself in the game room to watch a movie. Ok. That's fine. I'm not playing games with a titty baby. Not in the mood today. We're both partially in the wrong, but he doesn't have to be such a baby about every little thing. Omg.

It's 1:55 a.m. and I can't sleep. I've cleaned bathrooms, scrubbed toilets, and cleaned the kitchen top to bottom. I drank a cup of chamomile tea and stayed off of Facebook, and I'm still wide awake. My alarm goes off in four hours!!!

I once worked a double shift at a restaurant and it was so busy I had no time to eat. Of course my hunger was only exacerbated by seeing plate after plate of delicious food leave the kitchen and get devoured by hungry customers. I felt like a hungry wolf by the end of the night. I grabbed a stale hamburger bun that had been shoved to the side of the metal flat grill, a bun that had literally been sitting there for twelve hours, burnt around the edges and soaked with grease, and ate it. It was absolutely delicious.

I set up a little TV in my kitchen, and hooked it up via wifi and an old android device to my netflix account. (And youtube or whatever else I want to stream) It's not hooked up to any actual television channels at all.... The reason I did this was so I could watch/listen to TED talks on netflix while I cook. And drink decent wine. And you know what? It is fucking sublime. *sigh*

I am so pissed. DH took $300 out of my account by taking my debit card out of my purse and to an ATM. To be clear- this is NOT his account, it's mine. He has no access to it because he's so bad with money. And by bad I mean he just takes it and spends it and I swear to Christ he thinks there's a fucking money fairy! And he took my debit card and stole $300 from my account. This is an account that he does NOT put money into. Ever. I'm so pissed. He has done this a couple times before and talked his way out of it, saying he'll never, EVER do it again. And now he has. Again. His fucking face makes noises that don't mean a thing. We were at a neighbor's house the other day -elderly couple that he goes and helps all the time with all sorts of random stuff- and she told me how great DH is and how he'll do anything for anybody. I wanted to laugh in her face because I've been asking him to re-hang the smoke detector in the kitchen for over a week and every day he says he'll do it. Is it done? No. I've been asking him to do a simple repair job on the house for over a year and for the last three weeks he's been saying he'll do it that week. Yeah, he'll do anything for anybody. Except me. And stealing from me on top of everything. I don't even know what to do. I wish he would just fucking disappear.

I'm on spring break right now, so I am spending a chunk of the next two weeks experimenting with things in the kitchen. Today I am attempting to make tonkotsu ramen broth and chasu pork from scratch ..... my house smells AWESOME, and I can't believe I don't get to eat this until WEDNESDAY. I just hope homemade ramen matches up to restaurant ramne! #whatsfordinner ... eventually.

I am a recycler and generally support buying used, but when it comes to stuff for my first baby, I can't help but want to pick some things out myself instead of just taking everyone's hand-me-downs. I'm short on space and trying to go with just the basics anyway, so garbage bags full of everyone's old baby clothes--especially the fussy/boutique-y kind I'd never buy--aren't practical for me. When people offer me things, I sort of avoid answering because I feel like a weirdo for turning down free stuff. Half of my house and kitchen is all used and hand-me-downs, so now that I can afford baby things, I just want to get some on my own.
