There was one quick meal/snack that I thought was absolutely amazing before I became vegan. It's from Heidi at 101cookbooks. Beat an egg w/ salt and pepper. Pour into a small frying pan, and cook until it's just beginning to set up, then put a corn tortilla on top. Continue cooking until it's firmed up a bit, then flip over. Top with parmesan cheese and chives. Cook until cheese melts. Fold in half. Dip in creme fraiche mixed with lemon zest (this part really puts it over the top, and I am not a fan of dips like that). It's such a fantastic recipe. It always impressed me.

Had such a great simple day with my kids. I blew giant bubbles while they popped them with light sabers, played in the yard. Made a great dinner they both loved. We read books under the covers. It's definitely quality over quantity. Love these guys so much.

I'm a professor. Guy just walked by my office to see if I had any textbooks I wanted to sell. I had one desk copy on my shelf that a publisher sent me that I didn't ask for, so I said sure! Made $20 cash on the spot. Love it. Wish I'd had more to sell! They do this every semester, btw.

I was upset about my husband's birthday and not having money for gifts, but I did end up getting him "My Dad and Me" by Mercer Mayer and the way he reacted about made me cry. He read it out loud very proudly and put it on the bookshelf in front, told his dad about it over the phone tonight. I also got him two cigars for when his son is born so it ended up being a nice day. He made ME feel like a million bucks lol.

Through the years I've been given a few moleskin notebooks as gifts. There's something very special about them. They always seem to have a nice cover, either a pretty pattern, or leather. One has gold-edged pages. All of them are still blank. I don't want to ruin them by writing in them. lol! I know they're for journaling my thoughts each day, but I feel awkward about writing my most intimate thoughts down on paper and then one day possibly having someone else stumble across them and read them. It won't matter much after I'm dead though. I've just never been comfortable about doing it. And now again today a stranger that I was chatting with suggested I begin writing in a journal each day. Hmmm, maybe I should.

Spanakopita, you asked for further information about Kaizen...frankly I just read about it online and started doing it, I haven't read any books about it. It's a super simple concept to grasp and I have tried a bazillion "habit forming" programmes but this one is so simple it's just really hard to break your habits...so long as you start small enough. It's a Japanese idea that has been applied in everything from government to business to therapy. I do know Robert Maurer writes books about it so that might be a place to start.

I am the massage therapist who never double books. I have tried in the past to take credit cards so that I can charge for no-shows but that ended up losing me business. Seriously, it just freaked people out. They accept it from a doctor I guess but not from me. So I just suck up the roughly 15% of no shows because it works out better for my business. If I could solve the no show problem I would.

KiK uses data. Facebook uses data. Using Safari uses data, but it allows you to sign into Facebook and use the messenger so you don't have to download Facebooks messenger app that makes you sign away all your rights to any privacy. Many people don't want to use that app, so using Safari allows people to talk to people on Facebook.

Daughter's dad has been flakey since our break up. She started kindergarten last month and he didn't even ask a thing about it. Didn't ask if she needed supplies. Didn't ask if she needed clothes. Didn't even ask what school she was going to. Hell, if it were up to him, she probably wouldn't even go to school. You're not invited to her graduation. Any of them. Because you don't even know her daily life. You don't even know her and how incredibly bright she is. One Saturday every couple of weeks when your schedule is free doesn't make up for anything. Stop fooling yourself. When you can get her ready for school every morning, fix her hair, help her pick out an outfit, help her put on her socks just right and tie her shoes, make her breakfast, drop her off at school and see her eyes light up when you pick her up. If you could do homework with her everyday and read her books every night and watch her read her first words and write her name. If only you could hear her talk about school and tell you how she learned how to spell "yellow" and she tells you she has to wear red, white, and blue tomorrow for 9/11 remembrance and she wants to wear her red headband with the bow. Ugh, what am I saying? You don't deserve to be a part of any of that. You don't even appreciate any of that.

I hope I can keep up with everything I have to. My two youngest start online school Wednesday. We haven't received any of their books or classes yet. Then my middle DD has surgery next Monday. I really hope I don't mess this up.
