I just blocked several people on fb. Don't laugh at memes from the Capitol riot that show assholes carrying swastika flags, and then post Jesus shit, telling me to forgive and move on. These people need to get their hateful heads on straight. I can't handle this crazy, hateful, racist, antisemitic shit anything.

Holy shit! We just moved to a new neighborhood (new state in fact) and went to play pickleball at the local courts. This woman comes charging over and says "You're using the wrong ball. That's an indoor ball!" OK...then she proceeds to lecture us on 100 things (not all pickleball). Jesus lady, back the F up. We are 2 grown adults, playing pickleball by ourselves. Maybe we are playing with the wrong ball! Maybe we don't need a lecture on how "No one plays indoors. Too many different skill levels...blah blah." Honestly, why am I always so polite? I should have said that in the moment. What the F is wrong with people?

I work in real estate Title Insurance. One of the things we do is run a search for judgments (money the buyer or seller owes to whomever), then contact that entity for a payoff letter. The buyer or seller must pay that off before the sale of the home can go through. Jesus. I've been calling three people at a court in one county for two weeks now. No return calls. I called a court in another county today and easy peasy - reached someone immediately and had the payoff within the hour, so what the hell. Then there's a law firm. Two weeks on that one, too. Multiple calls, multiple messages, no return call. Everyone's working from home at that firm, but I know they have to check their voicemails. We're having to delay closings, which costs the clients money. Come on!!!

So this one was mine. One of the bullshit theories my son was spouting off to me is that covid is a hoax, or else someone we know would have had it by now. (We live in the middle of nowhere). Welp, his grandfather (my XFIL) was just diagnosed with it, with mild symptoms. He and DS work together in a family business and I just saw my son last weekend and gave him a hug. I can't believe this. I'm off to google early warning signs. My kid might not get sick from this virus, but I'm betting I would, and my DH too. Not to mention our elderly neighbor that we take care of and help out regularly. Jesus H. Christ in a sidecar.

So here's one for the record books. I just found out that my XMIL (my kids' grandma) who's son I've been divorced from for 20 years, as been telling a fabricated version of a story for the past .. 20 years I guess! When DS25 turned 3, she had a party for him at her house. At said party, she and I got into a fight (she is the world's most difficult person, she has histrionic personality disorder) and she picked up my son's Elmo cake and threw it at the wall. Of her own dining room. In front of her 3yo grandson who's birthday it was and who hadn't even had any of the cake yet. SO! After all these years of blissfully never seeing her, I just found out that she's been telling everyone, including my kids (and re-telling it over and over at every family gathering for the last 20 years ) that it was ME that threw the Elmo cake. Jesus. I just told my son not to argue with her about it, let her tell her story... just know.. I didn't do that. She did.

You sound like an actual Christian to me. There are a lot of people out there who think it's "Christian" to ignore and deny institutional abuse (not just within Catholicism, and not just sexual abuse, but physical and psychological), or that child marriage is "Christian," or that child-rearing tactics that essentially amount to at least, psychological abuse, sometimes even physical. A lot of people think this is consigned to the history books, but it's still happening. There are some incredibly repressive and backwards people in this country who somehow still have the audacity to claim Jesus is love, while being incredibly hateful towards children. Honestly the majority of people who are so hung up on abortion for religious reasons seem to be more about female control than saving babies. I'm sure there's a few, but the distinct minority.

DH and I got flu shots yesterday. Yes, my arm ached a bit and the injection site is kind of sore, but for the love of Baby Jesus! If we were Catholic he'd be asking for last rites. He moans and groans and has taken THREE two-hour naps in his recliner (with both arms, including the one that's too sore to lift, above his head). I've put Voltaren gel on his arm, given him two Aleve every 12 hours, and even gave him a heating pad to help with the pain. Try pushing a human out of a hole the size of a quarter you man child!!

Holy Jesus and baby Jesus and all the saints and Odin and by the hammer of Thor...... have you SEEN the Trump/Rambo flags? Holy Jesus H. Christ on a tripod. I wish I were kidding.
