The good thing about social media is that all the hate the Trumpsters have spewed for the last 4 years is seared online forever. That means when I'm looking for an electrician to do work around the house, or a restaurant to hold or cater an event, or hiring for work, I will find it and not give you the job or our business. We re-did our bathroom about 8 years ago. We are getting ready to remodel our kitchen. I was going to use the same contractor but his FB page if full of pro-Trump rhetoric. He's not getting a call or the $60,000 job. The restaurant that welcomed participants of the Trump parade will never see us again or any of the events I plan (I do that as a volunteer for a couple organizations). A neighborhood FB page has a spreadsheet of all the local businesses that supported Trump.

Oooh, these GD MICE!! I hate this time of year. I live on a farm and we always, always get mice from the nearby granary that come in and find my rice, dried beans, etc and try to eat it all. I just went and bought about 12 traps to set in the kitchen and I better catch some of them. They just plain gross me out and you really can't avoid them even when you try to keep your kitchen clean.

Rant about my ILs--they are bitching about being short on money now that our land contract with them is over. We purchased 40 acres of their farm and my BIL purchased another 40 acres. So they were getting money from us monthly while we paid it off, but now it's paid and we don't pay them any more. They whine that they "depended" on that money. Well...they knew it was going to end at some point. They took out a loan to redo their kitchen and DH claims they just need to prioritize their money better. I guess they've been asking DH to just give them money for no reason now and he's saying no. WTF. I don't understand how ballsy some people can be.

Housecleaner here. I have a regular client, a busy executive, who I would visit two times a month, for 2 hours. When COVID hit, she suspended service, but called yesterday to resume. She has a gorgeous, nice-sized house that was always fairly clean and easy to do in 2 hours despite the size. I will say, however, that the master bathroom was always kind of disgusting, with the kitchen a close 2nd. Just terrible. She said she needs me this time for 4-6 hours. Not gonna lie, I'm a bit scared. How freaking dirty is this place going to be for me to need to be there that long?!?

I just found out you can sprinkle crushed up bay leaves in your pantry/kitchen to repel mice. I am totally doing this so mine don't come back anytime soon. I got rid of them all with traps, but I'm not taking any chances. I thought there were a couple other people on here who had mice problems, so I thought I'd share.

I did 20 minutes of flexibility yoga this morning and 10 minutes of meditation. And I cleaned my kitchen. And I was on time to work and even am wearing a cute outfit and new layered necklaces. I had a chicken salad sandwich and a ceasar salad for lunch with ginger tea. I'm feeling good! (Okay, maybe not GOOD... I don't know how to feel actually good anymore.. there's an underlying anxiety every moment since covid.. but I feel pretty okay.)

Definitely husband material, but with a hot English accent. I think I'm in love. Or possibly I need to get out more and have been locked in my home for too long. You know when you're considering jumping off your kitchen cabinet to injure your ankle to see a hot doc again, it's probably time to get a life. Or buy a sex toy.

I started getting into baking and made banana bread from scratch for the 2nd time. The first time was bad, dense, pale, and gummy and not sure if it was the recipe? Today turned out really well. I'm impressed with myself and l can't believe how delicious it is and healthy (no sugar added, just honey!). I used this recipe I found online - https://kristineskitchenblog.com/healthy...

I think you're right. I work for a large hospital that sends an email every time someone retires. We get them almost everyday now. Nurses, techs, environmental workers, kitchen staff, you name it. People are jumping ship.

I love my apartment and enjoying cooking kitchen, sleeping soundly in my small bedroom, and exercising in my living room. I'm renting an apartment in large Victorian house that has two other units on our 2nd floor. Down the hallway, there's a refrigerator and I think bathroom that seems to be used by the neighbor since I hear him leaving his unit to open the fridge, etc. I don't want to look there too closely if that's a bathroom since that seems kinda odd to have it separate from his unit. Has anyone ever see that before?
