Accidentally stepped into a wide trail of ants from hallway to kitchen this AM. Let apt manager know, kill said ants then leave for errands. Come home to another trail. FML. Besides setting up traps and cleaning apt, any other suggestions, CCC? Thanks ladies!

Today was supposed to be a great day as we were going to a book signing for my fave cookbook author something I looked forward to for a few weeks now. But I slept poorly last night, woke up to a trail of ants in the kitchen, hallway, and bathroom (freakin' rain brings them in), received an even higher electric bill this month and got a parking ticket (I should have listened to him and moved my car) and that all happened today. While we made it to the book signing and had a great time...I wish I ended it that way. Instead I was snappy at him towards the end (for no good reason as always) and it triggered very bad memories of his ex and he became very upset. We have fought about this before, but I feel like I really screwed it up this time. I apologized, we tried to resolve it, but he was pretty silent on ride home. As he drops me off at home, we hug and I ask if we're okay, he says yes, but we need a little space. I ask him how long? He says he doesn't know. I'm in my first relationship and don't know what the fuck I'm doing. I come home to an apt empty with more ants that when I left. I feel like crying right now.

My friend's kids always want to eat when they come to my house. They are disrespectful and just go into my pantry and start pulling things out to eat without asking as soon as they walk through the door, dirty hands and all. Soon as they eat something they want more. They make a mess and throw wrappers on the floor and try to sneak food out of the kitchen. I told them they could no longer eat at my house and to stay out of my pantry. I don't mind feeding them something if they ask and don't make a mess but they will sit and eat everything in sight if I let them. DS is the same age and when he gets hungry at their house he comes home to get a snack. (We live two houses down)

My boyfriend's new roommate is driving us all crazy. She's trying to act like a friend, rather than someone who is just renting a room for a few months. Every trip to the kitchen results in a coversation. "What are you guys watching? Oh, you went to X for dinner? It's cold today!" She doesn't seem to understand the roommate dynamic at all. He has talked to her about it, but she hasn't changed her behavior. He's giving her a month to settle down, then she's going to have to go.

I don't think I'll ever be happy with a house. I found one in the perfect location. Wonderful outside, but the inside I am already mentally moving walls and remodeling the kitchen.

I am a stupid, selfish woman. Dh picked up pizza, let me run a few errands after work, and cleaned the kitchen so I wouldn't have to. He wanted sex and I just couldn't do it. I felt so awkward. I tried, but I couldn't get into it and he finally just rolled over and went to sleep. I am a shitty person sometimes. Geesh.

I own many kitchen knives. (The block) But I only use two. One is a killer serrated steak knife and the other is a 99cents store special. The steak knife I use for cutting everything except onions and potatoes. I use the butcher knife for those. I can't use the other knives, they are too big for my hand and I can't control what I need to do with them. I've had these knives for about 10 years now. Don't tell Chef Ramsey!

I followed a vegan diet for a while but am now I ovo vegetarian. I took a lot of crap for it from the vegan community I was in, even though I raised my own hens. They were some of the most judgemental hypocrites I ever met! Eating eggs was somehow horrible but it was ok to own a huge home they didn't need rather than donating money to more charities. You really want to help people? Stop buying material crap you don't need, donate it! Why buy expensive Keurigs and marble kitchen counters? You could send that to Africa and build a school with the funds, selfish!

I'll probably get flamed but oh well. My confession? I still believe in traditional gender roles. I don't, however, believe we are required to conform to them and I would never tell a woman she belongs in the kitchen, not in combat. I do believe most women are geared towards traditional feminine things, but I believe it's more genetic than cultural. Again, I don't think every woman is like that, no should she be (and if I have a daughter I would absolutely encourage her to follow her dreams). I think men and women are equal, but we're different. Studies have shown that our brains DO process stuff differently. Sometimes saying he doesn't understand because he is a man is valid because of the way the male brain processes emotions. Sure, there are men who do better than women, no denying that. Same thing with the physical stuff, men in general are stronger.
