I'm not wearing anything. My husband left me naked in bed while he's in the kitchen making us breakfast in bed.

How long do betta fish live? We have a navy blue betta that is about 2 1/2 yrs old and lately I've been worried that he's going to die soon. I keep his bowl in the kitchen and for a fish he's got a great personality. He always comes out of his little house and swims around when you turn the lights on and when you put your finger in the top of the of the water he "fights" it. Then when you put food on your finger he eats it off. He's so pretty too. The thought of him passing...I love that little fish!

My dh is paying for me to go to Las Vegas at the end of the month. I'm in school full time and am not working very much so he's underwriting the trip. I can't wait. I'm going with two of my sisters and a couple of of our friends. My friend from San Diego is going to meet us there too. I'm so happy and blessed to have someone in my life that "lets" me go and do fun things with my friends and family. Last night he cleaned the kitchen while I lay down and watched Dr. Phil because I was tired from being up since 5am and being on my feet all day working. Today he picked up ds and went to the grocery store for taco fixings. I cooked and now he'll clean up. I'm blessed and grateful everyday. I don't take him or his generosity for granted.

My bedroom art is an oil on canvas original piece by me. It's a mid to late 40's year old woman, standing in the dim lighting at her kitchen's island. She has a look of callous sadness that you can read in the soft topography of aging lines, that map out her loneliness. Her once joyful expressions, now lay hidden under the mount of her furrowed brow. Her right arm is folded across her fleece vested body, running just under her breasts, where it meets the underside of her opposite elbow. As if supporting more things than just her arm, she holds her elbow as her arm has raised her hand to her mouth. There where her fingers almost meet her lips, you see a flash of perfect white front teeth, and with a dangerous looking concise bite, as if cutting through her own regret, she sharply shaves no more than a razor slice of a Pepperidge Farm Milano cookie she holds tight in her fingers. Suspended like that forever, seemingly cemented in her own "what ifs?" The title is, "The Safety of My Discontent". JK I only have a 40x30 boudoir photo of myself.

I'm the OP whose dad passed away and DH was not supportive. When I married DH, I thought I was "marrying safe" because DH works hard and is not much of a partyer. He was also sensitive, etc as I stated before. People change. I am going to discuss this further with DH. I am still sick, no DH did not try to keep me in one room he backed off on that, but he is going to know how I feel about things very soon.He did clean the whole kitchen yesterday.

I hate hate hate wood floors... I miss having an almost completely carpeted apartment. I walk around barefoot and am sick of the bottoms of my feet being brown/black at the end of the day. Dh and BIL wear their shoes inside and all over the apartment bringing in all kinds of dirt and snow. We have a beautiful Persian area rug that I have to vacuum with a brush attatchment (on my hands and knees) daily if I want it to continue to look good. I sweep and wet swiffer it daily and get a large pile of crap from just the kitchen, living room and dining room. They aren't that big, I find it a little gross to be getting this much stuff in my pile daily. Now, I know that the same stuff would be stuck in the carpeting if we had a carpeted place but to me that means less on our nice rug, less dirtying up my feet, less floating around in the air, the ice cold snow puddles I step in would disappear quicker, and I would much rather vacuum daily than sweep and swiffer. I have an amazing vacuum, it's one chore I love doing, and I love the way the place smells after I'm done. H is pushing hard for mostly wood floors when we buy a house but I can't do it. As much as I like this apartment and all of its features this floor is making me miserable. I am fine with the kitchen, dining room, and bathrooms having wood/tile/not carpet I'm going to have to demand that the rest of anywhere we move to next be carpeted.

My ex made up family traditions since he grew up without any. I hated cooking those effing geese every Xmas Day. Everyone else having fun with presents and I'm in the kitchen trying to keep effing goose grease from getting everywhere and cooking 6 or 8 side dishes besides. It took days to shop and cook and days to clean up. All for a 20-minute meal tradition that wasn't a tradition, just something he came up with to create more work for his wife while he watched sports TV and drank. He fell asleep in bed snoring while I was still slaving over dirty pots and pans. Ah, the memories. This year I'm having lobster.

DD & I were shopping this weekend in the kitchen dept of the store and she stops and asks me, "Mom, would you like a tiny crockpot for Christmas?" I look over and she has this little bitty crockpot -like for one can of soup- in her hand. And all I could think of was this website and tiny crockpot girl. LOL!

Grr!! I hate all my kitchen utensils/bakeware. I've only got 2 cookie sheets and they're warped. My nonstick skillet is getting scratched up and needs to be replaced. My knives just suck. Most of my Tupperware is just bottoms with no lids or lids with no bottoms. After Christmas is all over and done, I'm going to purge all this crap from my kitchen and replace it with some new stuff. I keep thinking "I just got this for my wedding--it can't be that old, right?" and forget that I've been married almost 10 years now.
