Two Tell All books I would want to read: Jon & Kate + 8's kids and the Duggars. Out of all those kids, one of them will surely write a juicy book about what the families are REALLY like when the cameras are off.

Isn't it time to stop carrying pocketbooks? Just wear a fanny pack.

New media console arrived today. DH borrowed a friend's truck to pick it up. Then it seemed like he just wanted to leave it in the middle of the living room. It has been like pulling teeth every step of the way. Can we put the TV on it now? Can we hook it up? I don't think he understands that I want the old TV cabinet out of the house and all other furniture rearranged this weekend. That means emptying the book cases, moving them, anchoring them to the wall, and replacing the books. Right now the couch is pushed out of the way, but it can't stay here. He packed up his old CDs, brought them down to the basement, and has been down there for half an hour. WTF? Let's get moving!

I'm 54% through The Fault In Our Stars. I know it can't end well, but I can't put it down. So far it has been one of the most touching books I have ever read. It's going to be one of those books that haunts me, I just know it.

I like to read books. I read 3-4 a week. Sometimes more. I love giving my friends books and talking about them. I'm up to 1400 on my goodreads list.

Speaking of books... I wish I could find a book to help me find peace with my faith. Books on Christianity are too one-sided, but people who don't believe are too one-sided the other way. Aren't there views somewhere in the middle? Going crazy trying to figure it all out.

I liked the Narnia books, S.E. Hinton who's known for The Outsiders, but my favorite was "That Was ThenThis Is Now" which they made a terrible movie out of with Emilio Estevez that I still liked. I absolutely loved one book from the Sweet Valley High series "The New Jessica" where blonde twin Jessica dyes her hair black. I loved my mom's 70's horror books.

Anyone else love the Prydain Chronicles by Lloyd Alexander? Brilliant books.

When I was a kid I loved John Hughes films. I mean, who didn't, right? In my age group anyway. Some Kind of Wonderful, The Breakfast Club, Pretty in Pink, 16 Candles.. I wanted to BE Molly Ringwald. She was my idol, she was the coolest chick in the universe. *sigh* And books? I read Stephen King. I read a ton of Stephen King as a kid. I read 'It' when I was probably 11 years old, under my covers, terrified, with a flashlight. It was awesome! I still love his books. He wrote one called 'Eye of the Dragon' and I have read that book probably six or seven times. I've read 'Pillars of the Earth' twice now, too. If you haven't read that, read it. It's amazing.

I read everything, all the regular books for my age then- horses, babysitters, Bunnicula, but I really focused on fantasy. Girls that picked up swords to charge off and rescue dumb princes. Tamora Pierce, Tanith Lee, Andre Norton, Mercedes Lackey, Piers Anthony, Robert Heinlein.
