Bad stuff does seem to happen in droves. I remember one year a series of events just left me so incredibly drained (both psychologically and financially) that I felt like the universe just had it in for me. Hmmm, let's see...in the span of 6 months a relationship of mine ended, my parents' marriage of 31 years ended, I got into a car accident, a friend of mine died, I got laid off, I had trouble finding a new job and when I DID find one, it unfortunately conflicted time-wise with a graduate school class I was taking in the evenings. Unfortunately the school wouldn't let me out of it as it was too close to the start date of class, so I had to pay for the entire cost of the class without being able to attend it! That sucked so bad. I even appealed to the dean and was told, "Nope, sorry". Then I got strep throat....TWICE. I had no health insurance at the time so that was very costly to me. I was working in a restaurant at the time and the days off killed me. You don't get paid your tips when you're off. Plusthe cost of the doctor's visits and meds. Oh, and THEN...my cat died. I was so close to losing it, it was just the most awful point I could remember ever being at. Well, I survived and things go much much better. But what an awful 6 months.

I have legitimate OCD. It's WAY more than just wanting my house to be clean. In fact, there are certain parts of my house that could probably use some more attention, but every single night, I have to get on my hands and knees with a damp cloth and wipe up my kitchen floor. I have to vacuum my living room every single day. I have to drink coffee from my own coffeemaker and no one else's. I don't eat in restaurants because I'm afraid of what they might do to my food. It's things like this that make me kind of crazy--not just having a clean house or washing my hands all the time.

My first day of school tradition is me going to the movies by myself to a matinee, and then having lunch at a nice restaurant with wine and reading magazines.

My mom is 51 and just started dating again. She had nothing but bad luck with horrible men on POF (as did I, but I did meet my fiance on Okcupid). She however is talking to 2 men right now. One is a man she met at a restaurant she frequents and the other is someone her co-worker set her up with. Don't worry about having to be single, it can be fun! But when you are ready to date again, don't worry about being able to find dates! :)

I've gotten lots of ideas from porn videos for spicing up things in the bedroom. It helps us to keep things "fresh" I like to surprise my partner by acting out a scene. You might be surprised what people are doing behind closed doors - or under the table at a fancy restaurant.

I'm so glad I spent all day with my guy today. We met up at a restaurant we love to go to, had lunch, went back to his house, had amazing sex, I cut his hair for him, and we cuddled while watching tv.

I never understood how people enjoyed meeting at crowded bars and restaurants to socialize. How do you enjoy socializing when you can't even hear each other? I never understood that. ALl through college I would try and try to enjjoy these large parties and bar get togethers and I always hated it. I'd be shouting "WHAT? HUH?" over the din and would feel lost in a cloud of noise. Tell me, please, extroverts...how do you enjoy this? It is a mystery to me and I want to understand.

Bf ex wife ruined his 21st birthday. Their waitress was pretty and skinny and apparently really nice to bf when she found out it was his birthday that day. As soon as the waitress opened her mouth and said happy birthday and brought him a free bday drink on the house, his ex went ballistic and turned crazy jealous. She ruined the whole night for him, wouldn't let him go out with his guy friends for a few drinks and swore up and down their waitress at the restaurant was giving him googly eyes and flirting with him. Bf said she was not flirting with him but she avoided saying anything at all to his ex or even acknowledging his ex cause she was a bitch to the waitress, can't blame the waitress cause I'd probably would ignore her and act like I didn't even hear her if she talked to me. Women, ya'll need to stop being so catty, jealous and insecure! You don't want to be one of those green eyed monsters like bf ex is, she's still jealous to this day (pissed that my bf moved on, screamed at him "I knew you liked them skinny" when she first saw me). Y'all need to cool your jets and stop being insecure. Jealousy gets you nowhere but it sure does show how insecure you are about yourself.

I agree that some parents are guilty of taking their kids places that are inappropriate and letting them behave like little brats. However no one is worse than dog owners. Newsflash: unless it it a service dog, your dog does not need to go everywhere with you. Dogs have no business in restaurants, malls, or any other store unless it's a pet store. And unless you are in a fenced yard or a dog park, no dog should be off a lease ever. Not everyone thinks he's cute. Some people are afraid of dogs. Some people are allergic. Some people don't want dog fur flying all over them. And some people may just not want your stinky dog sniffing at them. I have seen a ton of incorrigible kids in my day, but I have never seen one walk up to a stranger and sniff their crotch or take a dump in someone's yard. Even if you pick it up, it's still gross. Seriously, if little Johnny dropped his pants and crapped in your yard, would you be OK with it just so long as someone picked it up? Somehow people think it's OK for their dogs to "greet" people by running up to them, touching them, etc. And I know a lot more dog owners who are OK with that than I know parents who let their kids run up to strangers and stand in front of them until someone pats them on the head.

I think parents who take their kids into bars are extremely selfish. Whether it is an actual bar or a bar in a restaurant, there are just some places children do not belong.
