People don't always keep their books in the living room or where they can be seen by guests. Of course if you come to my house, though, you''ll probably find books in very unexpected places - but we do have a very overflowing bookcase full in the living room, also.

Sometimes I visit a home and something is off, but I can't put my finger on it until I realize I don't see any books.

When I was a kid, reading for pleasure was all about fiction books. Now that I'm an adult, it's all about health and fitness and cook books.

I don't like Nicholas Sparks books. They don't call them romances because they were written by a guy. But that's what they are, formula and all. Give me a good romance that is what it is. But not Nicholas Sparks.

Yay, I made it through the day/night babysitting my friend's 1 yr old. He was sooo good. He cried once when I changed his diaper and that is it. He went to bed at 8 and slept until almost 9 this morning. I think he was worn out playing with the other kids, my child and nephew. His mommy is picking him up around noon and I'm going to celebrate with a trip to the bookstore.

I really liked this guy but then I found out he had a girlfriend. I was so annoyed. Promptly cyber stalked her to check out my competition and... she seems like the coolest person ever. Creative, funny, down to earth, loves cats and books. Forget the dude, now I just want to be friends with her.

As an editor I assure you people can and do write utterly unintelligible strings of words they consider books all the time. I often wonder if the writer has actually ever read a book if they think anyone's going to publish their unpunctuated, dull, nonsensical pile of crap.

Woo hoo!! Amazon reached a legal settlement with some publishers and I'm entitled to a credit of nearly $75 on book purchases. Trying to decide between trashy novels and horror stories or those "serious" books on my wishlist. I was annoyed and going to confess something unkind, but this completely improved my mood :)

Cleaning out papers, books, and clothes. Cleaning out shoes. Cleaning out office supplies. Cleaning it all out! Goodbye, stuff!
