Im the OP with the sick dad and condescending DH. Last night after I went to bed, DH rearranged the kitchen. I spent 10 minutes looking for the coffee filters. I finally found them in an empty coffee can. Who does shit like this when I am already under so much stress? I have also decided I am going to talk to my dad about getting some outside help.

Usually when I ask about what's in a menu item and if it's vegan, it's the server who goes and asks the kitchen. In all my years as a vegan, it's been a rare occasion in which I've actually gotten to speak to the chef.

I hate how hard it is to keep my old house clean. Unless we do a total remodel, I have to put up with crappy carpet, a tiny kitchen, walls that i can't scrub, and bathroom surfaces that are permanently stained.

We always go out to eat after ds's football game on Saturday. Mother in law decided, "Let's save $ and bbq at our house." We went in halves for the food. Dh's bro, sis in law, & kids came. Didn't pitch in any $ as usual. Niece & nephew (ages 6 & 3) trashed my house. I bitches after they left. Dh cleaned the whole house! All I had to do was lysol all our stuff, mop my kitchen floors, and vacuum. Bunch of pigs! And mom in law is pissed cause her son & family ate and ran, and didn't say bye to her. Good ya old bat! They've done this for years! They all make me sick.

Last night I almost stepped on a small dead creature on my kitchen floor. Kitty strikes again. But this thing was so weird! DD & I were stumped as to what exactly it was. It looked like a huge mouse, but it had a fluffy tail like a squirrel. But the tail was sort of flat. And it had a blackish stripe along it's side. And I swear it had tiny hands! HANDS! It was actually a pretty cute little thing, aside from being dead. So we googled. And here is what we came up with: it was a flying squirrel. Turns out people sometimes keep these things as pets. DD was traumatized. We'd never seen one before, either. They must be pretty stealthy. http://www.animalspot.net/northern-flyin...

This bugs the hell out of me. I am cleaning the crap out of the house, I mean organizing things, throwing out old stuff and just cleaning. Husband comes in and asks what he can do to help. I ask him to fold some clothes. He goes "Oh no, that is too easy! Is there anything else?" I tell him no, just fold the clothes. An hour goes by and I was finished in the kitchen and ask him if he is done with the clothes. Nope, playing video games. So I try not to SNAP and start folding the clothes. He comes in the room and says in this whining voice "I said I was going to fold the clothes." Fuck him. Seriously. Just fuck him. I say "You said it but you didn't DO it." He starts folding clothes with me and I tell him to put the clothes away while I polish some silverware (it was a huge clean up) and I come back and the fucking clothes are still in the basket with him using the laundry basket as a fucking ottoman. So now I am even more pissed and tell him to cut his "I want to help" shit if he actually doesn't do anything. Now he is telling me I am talking patronizingly to him and I'm like fuck him. I told him that I was cleaning the house and the least he could fucking do was fold the clothes and put them away. He failed so if I am talking down to him it is because he can't listen to fucking instructions so I have to talk to him like he is a baby. What an ass.

How often do you mop? I have a friend that moved into her house in February. The entire house is wood flooring including the kitchen and bathrooms. She asked to use my mop because she hasn't mopped the floor since she moved in. I think it is kind of disgusting especially in the kitchen and bathroom. I am not saying you have to mop all the time but never doing it and you have been there for 7 months...EEK!!

I have a new obsession with watching "Cut Throat Kitchen" and "Chopped" on the food network. I'm always DVR'ing them!

Jesus gave the wheel to my DH. I came home to a sparkling clean kitchen including a mopped floor and a cleaned out fridge, a clean bedroom, 2 loads of laundry done and a sweet note saying to don't cook and to order a pizza (I picked up Mexican instead). The thing is, we normally do the heavier chores on weekend together and hubby didn't know I was having a shitty day until he was already at work, but yet, he knew. Now waiting for him to come home from work so we can tear up these sheets and get some good damn sleep. I'm so down for him!

I'm not a slob and I never thought of myself as a lazy person, but I'm looking around my house and focusing in on what shape it's in and I'm a little stunned. There is a pile of papers and little stuff on the kitchen table, there's another stack of mail and misc papers on the kitchen counter. My bedroom has clothes piled on the chair, there is a load of laundry on the bed that needs to be folded. The top of my desk is cluttered with papers and things that need to be filed and put away. The sink had dirty dishes until I just now loaded the dishwasher. I live alone and I guess I don't realize how messy I'm becoming. This is NOT what I want to be like.
