All this shrimp talk is making me go to a crawfish restaurant tonight. You get a pound of shrimp and a pound of crawfish all cooked in butter with old bay and garlic and eat it with your hands. NO REGRETS.

Oh, how I’m going to miss you, farmhouse I grew up in. Thank you for all of the good times: lawn darts in the front yard, mudpies using frisbees as “plates," dozens if not hundreds of farm cats named and befriended; doing cartwheels barefoot on the cool, velvety green grass, the tree stump down by the creek where I cried over my first boyfriend, the little milkhouse where I played restaurant and “smoked’ white crayons on my lunch break, the corn crib where I smoked a cigar with my cousin when we were 13, names etched on the steps to the basement where I spent hours on the phone not talking about anything in particular, making out with my boyfriend by the barn late at night where the security light wouldn’t shine, running dad’s truck into the garage door, listening to bullfrogs sing while fireflies lit up the steamy summer night. Oh, how I will miss you. Thanks for the memories.

Kids in the bar area at a booth or table don't bother me. But it bugs the hell out of me when people bring children to the actual bar to sit. Even at family chain restaurants.

While on vacation in Michigan, my dh and I stopped into a steakhouse for lunch and asked to sit in the bar. Little did we know, kids can sit in the bar in restaurants! Wtf! We always sit in the bar to be away from kids when we are on a date (for obvious reasons). Are there other places that allow this? Maybe we just need to get out of state more often!

My boss took us employees out to lunch today (four in our department). I had chilean seabass on a bed of spinach with plaintain chips, awesome guacamole and a dulce de leche creamcheese cake for dessert. He also gave me $20 for driving us to restaurant 1/4 mile away. We are going home 1.5 hour early, I don't have to pay my truck payment anymore and it's payday so now this check has a few hundred dollars extra on it so I'm getting an overdue pedicure after-work. Today is a great day.

Recycling bins at restaurants really confuse me.

What grosses me out? When men wear sleeveless tops to restaurants. Nobody wants to see hairy pits while they're eating. Disgusting. While you're at, please stop "hocking loogies" in front of people. I have dry heaved a couple of times from the sight and sound of some gross ones. I've actually said "ew!" to where they heard me. They usually apologize lol.

I admit, I'm jealous of my SIL, She makes good money. Really really good money. I don't know how much but she makes enough to live in one of the richest, more affluent part of town. She is the bread winner between her and her dh. They can afford to go shopping whenever they want, eat out at nice restaurants, go on weekend trips to the ocean, etc. She bought fil a flat screen tv for Father's Day and all we could afford was a crummy card. We're struggling just to get by,, barely able to buy food and have a big hospital bill due to dh needing emergency surgery (nothing serious, appendix) cause his insurance barely covered any of the bill. But at least I know my husband is faithful to me unlike her dh who has admitted to cheating on her with hookers and having a porn addiction. She also got a lateral demotion and although I shouldn't be happy about that, I am. It would just be nice to be able to spend money like they do without having to bat an eye and to be able to afford a small vacation.

The only place I tip is a restaurant where the servers make $2.13 an hour + plus, my stylist and food delivery. I'm thinking all those other jobs are paid hourly at least minimum wage or higher. They get no tip. Sorry. And while on the subject, perhaps we should get a "discount" for using the SelfScan at the grocery since one of their employees isn't making $7.35 an hour to do it.

I used to date a man who had children. Yes I realize they come first and thats the way it should be. But I ended the relationship because I didint matter at all and felt like I was being used. I figured all men were not like that and dated another man with kids a few years later. His kids were so rude and disrespectful to me that I got up and walked out of a restaurant were in and drove home.He followed me out to the parking lot and demanded I come back in because I was embarrassing him in front his kids. I told him, "Your kids are the embarrassment. I do not want to see you or them anymore" and left. If I hadnt met them there with my own car I would called someone to pick me up.
