Bad date: We met up at Thai restaurant and he ordered a very hot dish which he sweated profusely throughout and kept talking about how hot it was. I wasn't feeling it, but felt bad and decided to go along with rest of date at the movies. We watched,"Hangover 3" and I hadn't even see the first two or like the kinda humor. During movie, he kept on talking and tapping my knee with his hand at the funny scenes. I was uber annoyed and moved my knee away and kept my purse on it so he wouldn't keep tapping. He had to tap the purse which he still did. Wow, weirdo!

I've never really had a bad date.

I've double dated with some people I'd rather not have double dated with. One time 4 of us were parked at a scenic place on a Sunday afternoon, getting affectionate but just kissing (age 17). The driver and his girlfriend got out of the front seat and got into the trunk of the car to make out. I didn't like that situation at all. Three months later she had an abortion so I'm pretty sure I know what they were doing in the trunk. It wasn't a bad date for me but maybe it was for her and the child that was never born.

I never get bad colds--they only last two days and it's usually one day of a sore throat and one day with some minor stuffiness and then I'm back to normal. I don't even need cold meds--just a rinse with a Neti pot and I'm good to go. I can't remember the last time I've been sidelined by a cold--it's been a long, long time.

I definitely agree that healthcare workers are over worked and forced to come in when they are sick. It happened to me when I used to be a CNA. NEver again! I once went to work and was puking. I told my manager I had thrown up twice and she told me to just suck it up because we were already two short. I threw up the whole day and had diarrhea. By the end of the day I was lying in a corner of the employee lounge, clutching my stomach and moaning. My DH had to come pick ume up and he yelled SHE WILL NOT BE HERE TOMORROW! My manager gave him a dirty look. I called that morning to say I could not come in as I was very dehydrated and weak. My managaer said just come in later you can do a half day. I went in but sholdn't have, I was so weak I collapsed. I still got in trouble for leaving a pt with a call light on too long> What a disgusting place to work. I quite and took a different job but not much better at the next nursing home. They all expect CNA's to work no matter how sick they are, no matter how bad the weather is and we don't get paid well on top of it.

This is going to sound so ungrateful, and I'm truly not, but I'm going to confess it anyway. I got a message from the florist that a friend of my was sending a gift and it would be delivered today. I was excited that I was going to have a beautiful bouquet of flowers to set on my counter for a week or so. Instead, they delivered a plant. A quite large plant in a tiny basket that looks like it needs to be re-potted soon. I don't have a green thumb. This poor plant doesn't have much of a chance. So now I have to go buy potting soil and a bigger pot and repot this plant that I don't really have a spot for in my tiny condo. Ugh. I feel like such a bad friend. I am grateful for the kind and thoughtful gesture, but it feels like work to me. Dang, just wanted some pretty flowers that I could enjoy for a week, then toss in the trash. Bad friend, I know.

Ok I'll just assume from now on that everything I tell you you'll be sharing with your boyfriend. Literally reading to him or sending him texts I send you. It's too bad I actually thought we were best friends and I could tell you things IN CONFIDENCE. When you asked me not to tell my husband things guess what? I DIDN'T TELL HIM!! Now that I know that doesn't work both ways you'll be hearing a lot less from me.

Ds sleeps with me. I tried to get him to sleep in his crib but has not having it... He would sleep for a few hours and wake up and not go back to sleep on his crib no matter how hard I tried since the day we brought him home. Partially at dh's request and partially to keep from losing my shit on him I slowly started just sleeping in another room with ds. Dh was constantly complaining about how my getting in and out of bed to attend to our child kept him up all night (not once did he offer, or act like he was awake IF he actually was) and eventually was so loud with normal things that ds would wake up before I even got a chance to lay in bed. He was also leaving his stuff ALL OVER the bedroom. I lost count of how many times I've had to move his stuff out of my only path to the door (his clothes took up pretty much all of the floor on my 2ft wide path of carpet between the bed and wall) so I started making him clear me a path every night and still, he'd throw things around after I went to bed or if he got up at night. After I started sleeping in the nursery (on our guest bed) he just let his shit take over. I can't open my side of the closet, there's barely any visible carpet except from the door to his side of the bed. It's like some teenaged slob lives in our bedroom. I've told him a dozen times now that ds is a little older and isn't doing too bad in his toddler bed at nap time that if he kept the bed room clean enough for me to walk through in the dark without breaking a toe, or my neck, I would try harder to get him to sleep on his own. We talked today and he tells me "you know... The bedroom is only sloppy because I have no reason to keep it clean." 1. It's disgusting... No adult should be ok with this level of mess, especially one who claims to be a neat freak to the point of calling it OCD (he's not, he can clean when he wants to but he's a slob the rest of the time) and 2. It feels like he doesn't want me back in our room. I can't get into my closet, my dresser is only reachable because it's on his side of the bed and he has covered the top of it with his crap. He also keeps trying to steal my dirty clothes hamper. He has 4 laundry baskets burried somewhere in there... He can't have this one too! And we can't share because I'm not allowed to do his laundry (I'm fine with that, he doesn't like the way I wash things or something) but that'd mean the hamper would just slowly fill with his dirty laundry until it has been claimed by his crap and I can't use or find it anymore.

You said you were lonely, I felt bad and I started a convo but got ignored. Nobody commented until days later and there you are having a big conversation with them and totally ignoring me. I'm done being nice to people. They can deal with their own shit from now on.

I got really hurt by my dad and was sarcastic. I felt like such an obligation and then to find out that HE felt like he was an obligation to me. Now we both feel bad. I wish we could communicate better.
