My confession is: I'm terrified of how my life's gonna be when my DD graduates and moves out. DD is .. she's my companion, we love hanging out together. We talk and laugh and like the same music and movies and stuff. She has plenty of friends and does normal teenaged girl stuff. But I really don't. I don't have a lot of other friends or hang out with people. And DH.. well I'm afraid we'll find that we have nothing in common any more. He just stares at the TV so damn much, I don't know how he can stand it! If he's in the house, he's in that damn chair. He gets annoyed when he has to pause the DVR so I can talk to him. And the things he does like to do- I've grown out of. I don't want to drink cans of bud at a bonfire when it's rainy and 50 degrees. I want to cook a good meal in my warm kitchen and drink good wine. Nothing wrong with either of these things, but they're light years different. What am I gonna do when it's just me and him? I'm terrified.

I am going to kill my husband, I cannot believe him. He likes to play tricks on me, one of them is ptetending to get seriously hurt or is dead, I've told him to knock it off otherwise This will turn into a big bad wolf situation. Now my 8 year old son picked it up and scared me when I came in from the backyard and he was laying on the kitchen floor only to get up laughing after I freaked out and ran to him. Now he is grounded for the weekend and once again I am the bad guy while his Dad is fun and kind.

Ah! I just remembered I tossed leftover shrimp salad in the kitchen garbage, with the intention of taking out the garbage that night. I forgot. So garbage sitting there all day in the kitchen, it's been a warm day, shrimp salad still in there...it's gonna be a STINKY kitchen when I get home. ; (

Last night I got up in middle of night because of a weird dream, laid there for a few minutes..had to pee, went to restroom and then said screw it; I went to the kitchen and ate about 5 cookie dough Oreos and had a glass of milk all while standing with fridge doors open (for the light). I confess, it was a good time.

I have legitimate OCD. It's WAY more than just wanting my house to be clean. In fact, there are certain parts of my house that could probably use some more attention, but every single night, I have to get on my hands and knees with a damp cloth and wipe up my kitchen floor. I have to vacuum my living room every single day. I have to drink coffee from my own coffeemaker and no one else's. I don't eat in restaurants because I'm afraid of what they might do to my food. It's things like this that make me kind of crazy--not just having a clean house or washing my hands all the time.

I am a lunch lady. I do not "cook" the food. I prep things that have to be heated and then I'm on a register to ring the kids up. Now, we have a "cook" and let me tell you ... that woman adds sugar to just about everything that she makes. Sugar in corn, sugar in peas, sugar in carrots ... WHY? They are sweet enough on their own. Sugar added to cole slaw, potato salad, chick pea salad and macaroni salad. Also ~ had another kitchen staff add sugar to CONEY SAUCE for hot dogs. And this is only a few of the things she doctors up with sugar. We're serving whole grain, sugar loaded crap to our kids. This is why my child brings lunch from home.

Oh dh is being a big ole asshat today. He came home at 9 and just flopped down across the couch to take a nap. Didn't care I was literally just about to vacuum and yells at me when I start it up. Then yelled at ds every time he went over to dh to say hi or climb on him. The rule in this house is if you want to take a nap without being bothered you lay down in BED, not on the couch. I tell him this and he whines about how he?'a too tired to get up and walk the 19 steps to the bed. He falls asleep and I decide to take ds to the convenience store for some stuff for lunch before h takes the car for the rest of the day. When I get back he wakes up and starts getting ready to go. He looks at the ice tray and realizes it's chicken broth I froze from last night and throws the tray back in the freezer, slams the door, and stomps back into the kitchen. (I stopped making ice a year ago because he never refilled the trays and I use our reusable ice cubes. I only filled them so I could give ds ice chips when he was teething he could chew on ice chips and h constantly used all of the ice before I could get to it, because he left all of his beverages on the counter bc the fridge made them "too cold.") then he says he's going to have a sip of my soda and I say ok and he gets all pissy and goes "well sorry! I didn't know you were going to the store!" Which I don't get... He is taking the car and has plenty of time to stop somewhere and get something. I'm so glad he left for his appointment soon after and won't be home for a few hours. I try to be understanding in case he is having a bad day at work or is tired but that is no excuse to treat me and ds this way. I am tired too, I don't ever act like that though.

I had open heart surgery last week Thursday. My previous surgery was a nightmare due to dsd11 & 13. They would snatch pillows I had propped from beneath me (ow), scream and throw tantrums when I'd tell them I couldn't do things for them, slam my bedroom door & turn up tv's as loud as possible to wake me from my drug induced sleep. DH allows his kids to run the house & be disrespectful. They have no rules. He expects me and my dd10 to cater to them all out of fear of them believing the horrible things his ex tells them about him. So with this surgery I checked with him regarding the visitation schedule so I could have a few peaceful days following my surgery. Thursday morning DH tells me once I go into surgery he's going to pick up dsd's. I got so upset my surgery was delayed until my bp was lowered. When I awoke from surgery no Dh. I had to get a co-worker to pick me up Saturday since Dh giving in to dsd's not wanting him to leave them to come get me and the hospital won't release you to a cab. When I finally get home the house I cleaned for 2 days is a disaster, all the breakfast burritos and sandwich wraps I made for DH and my dd are spread out all over the kitchen table dsd's are running around the house screaming. Co-worker walks me to the downstairs spare bedroom I prepared with plans to stay in until I was well enough to do stairs and we find dd desperately trying to clean it up since dsd's made a huge mess of it. This is the last straw for me.I can no longer live as an after thought, I had to take my dd and get out. It took all day due to my surgery, but I had family come while Dh was at work yesterday and move us into a hotel suite. My renters recently broke their lease on the home I lived in before Dh. It is currently being renovated so I will be moving in when it's done in 2-3 weeks. I spoke with Dh .He apologized, says he wanted to be there for me, but as always he blames me stating I don't love his kids enough to ignore their behavior. I screamed at him that he left me for dead(I know I was dramatic, I blame the meds). Today I feel free & at peace. Dd is in the living room on her laptop with no one trying to snatch or throw things at it. She feels this hotel stay is like a vacation. We have 2 bedrooms, a stocked fridge and it clean & quiet. I don't want anything from that house. He can keep all my furnitue, etc since dsd's damaged it all. Between my naps I am looking at furniture web-sites. After being widowed and now planning a divorce I plan to stay alone for a long while. Thank goodness I have a career and a pre-nup to protect my savings and all my properties.

The reason we need moderation....because it's clear people on here cannot act like adults. We're adults here, except it's bitchy bitchy. No respect, no kindness and no compassion. And the whole get out of the kitchen if you can't stand the heat is just an excuse to act like an ass. And yes, if you defend this, you are an ass. There are nice ways of saying things. I'm not saying sugarcoat, but being tactful is an art.
