My stbx-MIL keeps stirring the pot. stbx-H and I are not on good terms because he pretended to be on good terms with me in order to get dirt on me. I've made it so now, we can only email and I am as vague as possible, using minimal words. I saw a conversation he had with his mom where she was talking about me not letting anyone they know be friends with me on FB so I can "lie, cheat and steal" more from him. Uhm, why would I let anyone be on my friends list that just want to be there so they can try to find something to get "dirt" on me. I made the mistake of always being honest with him, so I never lied to him. Cheat? He cheated on me twice while I was pregnant, I was never with anyone else until months AFTER I left him, and I've only been with one person....he's been sleeping with many women. Steal? Steal...what, exactly? His things are boxed in the garage, I don't want any of it. I also get a certain amount of money each month to pay for OUR child. She thinks he should give me $0 and I should have to support our child by myself because I left him. She's upset because I left her son, and she thinks he's so perfect. He lies to her ALL the time, only tells her bad things about me, never any good. It was the same thing when we were together. He only told his friends bad things about me, most of which were lies. He has a disease when it comes to lying. If he even did the minimal work it took to be a somewhat decent husband, I wouldn't have left. But he made my life hell and I couldn't take it anymore.

I know I need therapy because of the verbal and emotional abuse, and bit of neglect my parents put me thru as a child. I tried to talk to them about a few times, even confided in my finace at the time, and all I got from my parents was , "We want you to stop telling people that you were abused. We took very good care of you. We lived in the most expensive areas so you could go to a good school and worked hard to pay for it.Yes we questioned and disciplined you when you did dumb things. Discipline is not abuse!!" So its ok to humiliate your 14 year old daughter because you spend a lot of money to live in a very nice town? This shows how clueless people can be. Someday I will go to a professional and talk about all of this. That instance where my mom found that letter was just one example. They would overreact to very minor things, but only sometimes so I never knew when it was coming. I didint realize how badly my parents had treated me until my friends started having kids.We also moved about 15 times before I finished high school. I went to 3 different high schools..We moved because we could not really afford to live in these fancy areas. I do realize other people had it much worse as kids, but that does make my situation any less sucky.

My favorite name ever seen was God'sWill, and his last name basically amounted to the word "Offer". So God'sWill Offer. I also had another kid named Aleckxandria, and I felt bad for her because she'd get so frustrated with people misspelling her name as Alexandria. I spelled it right this time!!

Grateful that I have my mom to be with on this Mother's Day. I am lucky to have them but it is also heartbreaking and they are also annoying. I feel like a bad person sometimes. I have such anxiety about them because they still live in their own home and need more help than they are willing to have. I can't even meet my own needs let alone theirs. They are in their 90's.

What you missed: One person posted about a former friend of theirs. OP said ex friend is a bad person and thinks she is hot but she is tall and hunches over to appear shorter. OP called this person a hunchback Someone with a medical condition took offense to the term hunchback. OP came back and said former friend can help it and it's not a medical problem. The end.

I hate when people think you should never feel bad because you have things you should be grateful for or that other people have it worse. This is a confession site, a place where people get things off their chest. Don't mind response posts but hateful ones should be deleted. The last thing some of these people need is more shit piled on top.

I feel bad for my mil today. Her dh is working, her son, my bil, that lives with them is sleeping in and then going fishing and her daughter, my sil and her dh are going fishing too. They didn't do anything with her yesterday either. We took my mom out for dinner last night, just the girls and today we're all getting together for a turkey dinner that my dad is making. I'm making rolls and bread and bringing wine. My dh bought me and my mom flowers. My mil lives 3.5 hours away. My son called her this morning to wish her a happy mother's day. That was probably the highlight of her day. Some people's kids are such selfish thoughtless jerks.

I find some names ridiculous but I make sure not to say anything about it around my family even if I say I feel sorry for the kid because I don't need to pass this along to my kids and let them think it is ok to make fun of people's names or the parents who gave them that name. Isn't the reason why we feel bad for these kids is because of possible bullying? Then shouldn't our attention be turned on the bullies? And saying you feel bad for these kids and shaming the parents can be just as damaging to the kid.

Yes, that is exactly what I said about celebs. That was the whole point. I wasn't bad mouthing people who "made their bed" in ANY fashion. It was a comparison stating that we ALL make our beds for the most part. I have to get going now, but JFC, are YOU the "Truu celebrity"?

I am struck by how many confessions are about getting bad breaks, being on welfare, not getting enough help from parents, etc. etc. FYI: We make our own luck in life. Be glad welfare was there to give you a boost. Don't count on your parents, they have a life too. The sooner you accept these truths, the sooner your life will get better. Live smarter, get responsible for yourself, and stop griping. BTW, no one ever handed me anything. I worked for all I have and am stronger for it.
