This was our wedding: Sitting at friend's parents' kitchen table. They're notaries. Friend's mom asks "Are you sure you wanna marry this prick?" Me: "yeah". Signed papers. Ah....romance! Lol!

I think the wife of that guy who made a spreadsheet outlining all the reasons his wife gave for not having sex should make her own spreadsheet. It would go something like this, "Asked him to help with the dishes, threw them in big pile in sink. Asked him to get the clothes out of the dryer, said he'll do it later. Made 3 dozen cupcakes for a bake sale, cooked dinner, packed lunches, cleaned the kitchen, and filled out fieldtrip permission slip all while holding a baby, meanwhile DH sat on his ass watching TV / playing videogames." Then when she DOES give in, it would read something like, "Groped me from behind, had sex for 2 minutes, rolled over and fell asleep." The truth is that most women ARE tired - they're tired of shouldering 80% of the workload (at least). They're also tired of being blown off instead of helped out. That does nothing but breed resentment. And then men are somehow shocked, SHOCKED that women really don't feel like having sex with the same person who's kind of been an asshole.

I think I am the only one that does not like open concept floor plans. I don't like the kitchen and stuff completely closed off but I don't like it when the kitchen and living area are basically one big room. When I am cooking or cleaning I don't want to be all up in the living area making noises and if I don't feel like washing the dishes right away I don't want guests or even myself being able to see the unsightly stack of dirty dishes from dinner. The kitchen is my personal space when cooking and I like to be able to think and focus on my dish and block out the rest of the family.

That's a load of horse shit...natural deodorant won't work UNTIL your body unclogs itself of all the sweat antiperspirant blocks you from expelling. Use a natural deodorant for a couple of weeks and you will smell terrible, after that it starts to work...I don't use them because I sweat so much I need antiperspirant though, otherwise I get horrid sweat patches. I only use natural cleaners because the smell of bleach and chemicals make me sick and my kitchen (and bathroom is sparkling. Natural sunscreens couldn't legally be marketed as sunscreens unless they protect your skin from UV rays, it would be dangerous false advertising. I've used them for years and never burned.

"Natural" is usually code for "does not work." If you're ever in a train car full of hipsters who use "natural deodorant" or have tried to clean a kitchen floor with "natural detergent," you know what I mean.

Good luck soon to be ex-dh! I can no longer stick around and deal with your self-centered DD. You raised her to believe she's a princess and now it's backfiring. 20 year old who thinks she should not have to work, sleeps til noon, messes up the kitchen - and leaves the mess for you to clean up after you've worked 8+ hours a day - and has the nerve to expect you to pay her bills, put gas in her car and buy her things. You accuse me of telling you how to treat your dd? Damn straight when your princess ignores me but expects me to kiss her ass you like do! Have fun with that!!!

I didn't sign up for any shifts next week. I'm exhausted from working full time the last month and a half and still doing 89% of the housework. My dh thinks he helps out around the house a ton, but that's laughable. Unloading and loading the dishwasher and vacuuming a couple of times a week isn't a "ton". It's basically nothing considering how much I do. On Saturday I cleaned the dining room, kitchen, made tacos, cleaned up after tacos, cleaned the kitchen after cooking, and cleaned HIS bathroom which I rarely use. He had the nerve to say to me yesterday "I never clean our bedroom because it's mostly your mess". What the fuck ever. No, for one thing it's not mostly my mess and I pick up after him alll the time. He's really on my shitlist atm.

Have you ever fooled around in the kitchen and come up with something that you want to eat every single day? I put half a cup of brown rice in a pan with some hot olive oil. Then I threw about four cups of greens on top, and coated stirred it to get it coated. I cleared a space in the middle and cracked an egg in there. Then I covered it with a glass lid. The rice was slightly browned, which I like, and the greens and egg were just right. I covered it in Sriracha and went to town. Only problem is that this is now the only thing I want to eat. I've eaten seven eggs this week.

I posted yesterday about DD15's hair and how she hates to take care of it. Well last night we're in the kitchen after dinner and I looked at her and there was a curly-cue, like a boing-y twisted ringlet thing, perched right in the front of her forehead. Probably about a half inch wide strip, about eight inches long just in a complete curled frizz-twist sticking straight up from her head. It looked so funny and cute and then I felt bad for giving her so much shit about her hair yesterday morning. Even when she takes care of it there's only so much she can do. Parts of it are wavy, parts are straight, and then there are those spots on her head where it just corkscrews. That's probably why she likes it so long, at least it can all sort of blend that way.

Migraine OP here; when I got home from work today the kitchen and living room were clean. Dh cleaned before he went to work this morning. My head still hurts, not a migraine, just a regular headache so he's going to get us dinner after he mows the lawn. I feel too yicky to make food, but I'm starving. I took some Aleve and I'm sure I'll be ready for chipotle by the time he's done wIth the yard. Sometimes he can pleasantly surprise me.
