About the guy we saw at the restaurant...my DH IS a friend of his...as in, a bunch of guys meet for breakfast every Saturday morning. The guy in question has been a part of the group for a couple years. DH knows he's divorced, with two grown sons and three grandkids. But that's the extent of the 'friendship.'

Saw the same guy at the restaurant this morning that we saw the other night (he left a $100 bill on the table after going in the back with the waitress). He had a little boy with him, about four or five years old. He saw us, said hi, then the same waitress (from the other night) came to their table. The little boy yelled "Mommy!" and she picked him up. It seems that the waitress is his daughter-in-law! Guess that's what we get for ASS-uming. :-)

I'm obese and if it makes me a judgemental negative person when I'm grossed out by other large people wearing clothing that show their 30 fat rolls, large amounts of cellulite and flappy skin, and stretch marks, oh well. I have more self respect than to go out looking like that and we all know it grosses people out. They aren't being judgemental for it. Quit with the "OMG YOU ARE SO MEAN IF YOU DON'T LIKE SEEING 10 INCHES OF 10 POUND THIGHS WITH JIGGLY CELLULITE". Also, on another note...men, stop wearing sleeveless shirts to restaurants.

It drives me nuts when people can't draw boundaries with their families. Like my friend complaining how she "can't" do anything this weekend because her aunt and adult cousins are coming to town. No, you tell them, "We'll have lunch and go to a museum, but I have plans after 7 so let me recommend a show and restaurant for the three of you." It's not impolite to have a life and not drop absolutely everything for someone coming to town.

Just watched an update on Kitchen Nightmares about Amy's Bakery, that restaurant with the crazy blonde lady that Gordon Ramsey gave up on. The original story went viral and really brought the crazy. This was mostly flashback footage and boring never before seen clips. I want my 40 minutes back. I should know better.

So, a so-called friend arrives to my house and brags about how he is so classy (its not classy to brag that you are classy, I guess) and that he won't drink a bottle of wine that is under fifty dollars. Guess what drunk f*** drank my entire six dollar bottle of rose moscato? The guy then talks about how he wants to take his girlfriend to a nice restaurant so I suggest some small places around here and he scoffs and then sniffs saying "Maybe I will just take her to Cheesecake Factory" What a tool!

I have friends who want to eat at a real Chinese restaurant. One that doesn't serve things you find at Panda Express. Okie! More than happy to take you guys. Word of warning. We will pass butcher shops with dead ducks and whole pigs hanging in the window. Tanks full of fish mean to be eaten. You will find whole fish and chicken feet on the menu. Eel. You'll learn what is in bird's nest soup. There may be no forks. If you can handle all that when's dinner?!

Skinny jeans senior citizen here - How I stay fit at age 72. I lift free weights at home. 20 years of yoga practice, don't need classes anymore just follow routine on TV or DVD. Aerobics at home. Line dancing 1 x per wk. Rarely eat fast food, potato chips or snacks. Few desserts. Few restaurant meals. No coffee or alcohol. Eat breakfast every day-- usually oatmeal and fruit. Mostly eat chicken and fish, hardly ever beef. Live alone and do my own household chores - raking, hauling boxes to and from basement and attic, moving furniture, hanging pictures, wash car. Yesterday I cleaned my house gutters, climbing up and down ladder to do it. Walk a few times a week. Anyone can do this. Oatmeal is cheap, I eat it raw. Line dancing is cheap just a few $$ a week at city rec center. I have little money to spend but don't need it to stay fit. All you need is the determination. My results are good and I feel good every day.

I'm sorry, server, is my presence in this restaurant preventing you from doing your job? Geez. I'm a single person and will order quickly if you'd just give me two seconds of your time!
