Penny's husband was in a hard place. If he didn't give into her demands she'd cry abused and deprived wife. She is the mother of his child. I can guarantee he'd be seen as the bad guy. When he did he was adding to her weight and unhealthy habits. He was also choosing to be ignorant with healthy eating. She insisted she needed won tons to survive while making them. He said frying them at home was better than a restaurant. know she'd use tears and wailing to say how much he didn't love her to give her the foods she wanted. How awful is that? I'd rather have my mom who worked all day than one who would make me sit in her toilet/bed/dinner table for quality time. So many other people would love the help and attention she got.

I used to work in an Asian restaurant that served authentic Asian cuisine, not Americanized junk, I love it

Making fun of anyone makes you look insecure and an asshole to boot. I got called Anna-rexoic in high school, skeleton and it's still open season on my food choices. Once I only ordered a small salad and the "friends" I was with asked why that was all I was eating and one poked me in the ribs. I said I wasn't too hungry and it was the truth. What I should have said was you guys picked one of the worst restaurants in the area with shitty food (it was terrible, stopped going there for that reason) but didn't want to be a diva and insist on going somewhere else. I've also had someone scrape some of their already eaten food onto my plate while I was still eating! Being rude to me may help your self esteem but in an unhealthy way. It wont' make you thinner either.

Overjoyed to have found a Turkish restaurant. The old me would have been at the pizzeria next door. I heart change.

I live in a small town, far away from any type of city life. For the most part, I love it. This past weekend I went to help an old friend in her big city. She lives in a beautiful condo on the water, in the middle of all the restaurants, shopping, etc. Sleep in, gym, lunch, shopping, nap, quick drink at a hotel bar. It was fabulous and I wish I would have taken advantage of that type of city lifestyle before I had a family.

My ex (DS15 & DD10's bio dad), has never really been around for them. Long story short, he was only in DS''s life, then when DD was 9 months old, I finally left for good. The years to follow, he'd make promises that he'd never keep, and now DS is resentful of him (ya think?). About a year ago, he finally reappeared, but neither one of my kids want anything to do with him. I get a whopping $76 per month in child support (he's on disability), and nothing more. We're friends on FB & still talk from time to time, but he's always posting pictures of tattoos that he's doing and "checking in" at all these restaurants spending $$ that he's made from said tattoos. I want to take him back to court for more child support but DH thinks that with the way things are ($76 p/month), it's his way of staying OUT of the kids lives and ruining our happy and loving family. DH is dad to them, and always will be and loves them unconditionally. We're fine with mine and DH's salaries alone, but it'd be nice to have the ex pay more.

For the last 5 years I've followed a girls blog that lives on the other side of the country. She's married, CF, has two little dogs, and a fun creative job. Her and her husband seem like best friends and they seem to live life to the fullest. They are always trying new restaurants, going to concerts, movies, nature adventures, doing things with there small group of best friends, etc. Sometimes I find myself being a little jealous of her. lol.
