Dh has cheated on me with alcohol for years. He doesn't want a divorce, won't get help for his drinking, high blood pressure, sleep apnea and E.D. I cheat on him with a couple different men. It's not right. I know that. I went years without a man's touch. I won't anymore. I've missed feeling desired and beautiful.

I just can't seem to find my christmas spirit. I used to be the first one asking for the tree, watching christmas movies on 11/1, listening to the music, everything. I can't even find the desire to buy gifts for everyone, and I don't even want the tree. My DH had to talk me into doing the tree the day after Thanksgiving. I need to snap out of it for the kids, but I just don't want to do it.

It’s another Night before thanksgiving tomorrow night. I was going to stay in, but my friend asked me to come out. I haven’t seen her in a couple of months so I couldn’t say no. It’s like an all age HS reunion at the hometown bar we go to. I’m excited to show off my new hair and catch up with old friends. Fingers crossed I don’t get too drunk because thanksgiving is not a day I like to be hungover on. I want to be able to eat my own weight in turkey. Dh said he’ll pick me up because he has no desire to go out.

Single person in their late 20's....do everything you desire! See other countries, experience new things, have adventures! You sound like me 20 years ago. I ended up never having kids and never regretting that decision. I floated from waitressing job to waitressing job, very content with my life and my own small apartment. I dated who I wanted and eventually did go on to earn a higher level degree and get a "real" career, but that was after about 10 years of thinking about it. I make a decent living and live in a nice home, have a solid relationship with my boyfriend and couldn't care less about a white dress and throwing a bouquet. People will always ask you "why" you don't want the same things they do...never let it worry you or force into a lifestyle you don't want.

I'm single and in my late 20s. Childless. I don't have a higher education, but I've always worked. I don't really have any higher aspirations in life. I want to be happy and comfortable in an aimless kind of way. I am very talented in a few things but I don't want to make a career out of those things just yet. One thing I know is that I want to leave the country again and see places. The idea of that makes me excited about life again: seeing things and knowing there is much more to the world than just struggling to stay afloat. I'm sure I can make a trip next year. It'll just require planning and saving. I just want to get away and rejuvenate my desire for life.

I'm not in love with my husband anymore. I don't hate him. He's not a bad man, and I don't want a divorce, but I don't desire him.

I have no desire to meet a new guy for sex. But I would be a solid candidate for an EA. I want to date, be paid attention too, etc. I would never, ever cheat, but I see how it would be easy to do when you just want to feel like someone is interested in you.

Move to a desired vacation location or get a pool and "friends" will appear out of no where wanting to "catch up".

Sometimes people withhold sex as a power play, or to be hurtful, and sometimes the person is just no longer attracted. That is the problem for me. My husband still looks great. I just don't have the desire. I'm not doing it to hurt him. If your husband is withholding sex to manipulate you emotionally, to hurt you, he is a shitbag and I hope he drops a bowling ball on his foot.

Broke up with my affair yesterday. We saw each other for over 4 years. But only a few times a year at most. I fell a little in love with him. He, quiet (like me) in the best of times, stopped saying much of depth at all and rarely made me feel wanted. When we were together, yes, his desire was clear. Otherwise I heard less and less from him. I'd cry and be angry, waiting to see him, begging for his attentions and emails. Trying to understand what he was feeling since we had a small falling out. Enough. I am doing this drama and I don't need drama in my life, even from myself. I want to stop crying and have my dignity back. I don't need constant compliments but once in awhile for crying out loud - I am not stingy with my warm words but he is. No matter what I did, none of it pulled him back to me or changed his behavior. I wish he regrets his actions, but I'll never know if he feels he lost me. I hope so.
