Just saw videos of protester confronting people eating in a restaurant, minding their own business, and trying to force them to raise a fist in solidarity with the protest. What would you do in this situation? I'm all for Justice, but fuck, I don't need people telling what to do or trying to force me to comply with their demands!!!

This would have been my 18th wedding anniversary. He was an abuser who screamed and cursed at me at the restaurant on our 5th anniversary because he was getting drunk and I quietly reminded him that he'd said he'd drive home through a very foggy mountainous terrain. His anger totally ruined what should have been a beautiful anniversary celebration. Despite the abuse which eventually became physical I stayed with him for 6 more years. Today I can't even visualize our lovely wedding ceremony, only the embarrassment and humiliation of our awful 5th anniversary dinner. I'm glad I got out before he killed me.

OMG I hate this guy. I hate this guy. I'm on the phone with him now and he's just SUCH a dick. Listening to him ramble while I type out how much I hate his ass. I hate his ass so much. He's just the biggest ass hole. He's going on and on now about how he can't wait to evict his tenants. He just can't WAIT to kick their whole family out. This is the same ass hole that calls me "foxy lady" and thinks the covid problem is because of all the testing. Trying to help this ass hole get a grant for his shitty restaurant is just making my skin crawl, but it's my fucking job.

DH and I don't eat out at restaurants much. I guess I always figured we were on the low end of restaurant-going, but I talk to a lot of people at work and I swear we are mutants or something...so many people eat some sort of takeout, restaurant or gas station food at least 3 times a week. DH and I eat out at a restaurant (including fast food) maybe once every other month. Are we really that weird? Or do other people out there not eat out very often either?

You guys are just going to bad nail salons. I've been getting my nails done for decades and never had any issues like you're describing. Just don't go there anymore. If you have bad service at a restaurant, you don't stop going out for meals altogether, you just stop going to that restaurant. Nail salons are just like every other business.

Wow you're so much better than everyone else.. Maybe the OP wanted a special treat? Or maybe she was out running errands and stopped for a quick drink? It's no more "getting ripped off" than eating at a restaurant. Or any other business. I have personally paid $12 for a can of beer at a concert that I could buy for $2 at the gas station. It is what it is.

I don't listen to politicians. I listen to scientists. If they say it's safe, I'll go back to normal. So far, the message is still mixed, so I assume worse case scenario. Enjoy your safely spaced restaurant dining because that might be your last pizza.

My mom is frustrating us. She insists on working (restaurant now doing takeout) because they're short-staffed even though we said we would support her financially. My sibs and I don't want her to risk getting sick now. But she insists on working because her boss asked her to. She has been lying to us about not working when she has for weeks. I'm sure she likes the structure of work staying busy. But don't her to get into another feud and I do not want to see another breakdown esp. if she's not listening to us.

My friend is pro-birth. But when it came to this pandemic, she keeps saying "my body my choice" because she wants to be able to go eat at restaurants.
