This is how Hitler accomplished genocide against the Jews and how whites keep justifying slavery and the never ending oppression of blacks in America. Christians have committed atrocities across the world, and people with no religious affiliation have as well

I had a friend that moved to the US from another country, I can't remember what country it was, maybe Bangladesh or Turkey? It was around there, but she moved to America in the 90's, fleeing from a war that was happening in her country because of ethnic cleansing that was going on. She never talked about what happened there but later on I found out her father didn't make it, he had disappeared and it was later assumed he was killed. I guess many of the women in her country were raped before they were killed. it was sad. I did some research on it and it was horrific to read what she and her mom and brother went through, scared of being killed simply because of their race and beliefs. She's a really nice person, not a mean bone in her body.

I really don't think you can compare raising animals for food to using animals for entertainment. The animals in circuses are not domesticated animals--they are wild animals being kept in captivity and being forced to perform tricks for people to watch. I do agree that factory farming sucks, but the only way we're ever going to get rid of it is if we vote with our paychecks and start buying free-range meat even though it's usually 3x or so more expensive than conventional meat. That would probably mean people would only eat meat 2 or 3 times a week instead of every day and honestly, I don't see a problem with that but I know a lot of Americans who do.

So Starfucks can abuse it's coffee growers, mistreat its staff and relentlessly drive small business owners out of business, but issue a plain red Christmas cup and watch right-wing fundie America explode. So nice to know that you have your priorities straight.

I love the British words for so many things that have dumb names here in America. Like "veruca" instead of wart and "spanner" instead of wrench.

I am black, white, creole, middle eastern and native american. Dr.'s offices assume a race, and I get asked "so what are you,?" at least twice a week, I also travel around the world frequently. (Flight Attendant.) I speak English, Spanish and Arabic. I frequently have people attempt to speak to me in their dialect. It doesn't offend me. I'm a mix of a lot of cultures. Honestly, its not a big deal. I really do not understand where the anger comes from. I wish people could be more tactful, but hey its really not a huge thing.

The confessor of the Spanish speaking post is racist. Anyone who uses the phrase "this is America, we speak English" is racist and a nasty person.

I'm a mix of several ethnicities, including Pacific Islander and Italian. Depending on where I am, either here or abroad, I'm taken for Italian, Hawaiian, Greek, Indian, Mexican, Spanish, Native American, Filipina - and even black (in the summer, when I get REALLY dark). People try to speak to me in different languages as well. Doesn't bother me in the least. Just wondering why it bothers you so much, and why you think it makes someone ignorant for perhaps thinking you may be their ethnicity if you look like it?
