I left my bipolar DH- (I am the one whose DH had issues with my dog) I get how hard it is to leave. You can't "just leave". It took me months. Is your DH getting treatment for his bipolar disorder? Mine refused. I am not sure if I mentioned before that he was physically abusive to me a few times, in addition to the emotional and verbal abuse and neglect of my needs. The last time I tried to speak with him about getting treatment he gave me a good shove knowing I have back problems. It still took a few months to get out after that.

I have plenty of "big" problems. My mother is not even 60 and has Alzheimer's. My entire family hates my DH because he has bipolar and they don't understand his manic spells, so holidays are always interesting. I don't confess the big problems on here because too many people have jumped down my throat about why haven't I left my DH yet. Sometimes the situation is a lot more complicated than you think it is on the outside.

I am the OP with the bipolar DH with the issues with my dog. Your DH is going to start being nasty to you too. I moved out the first week in December and while I do feel sad occasionally, most of the time I feel like I just got out of jail. And my friends who have been over said my dog seems happier too.

I have the bipolar DH who had the issues with my dog. I have been in the new house for a month and a half. DH will occasionally send me a text asking how I am doing or when I need to come by the house again to get more of my things. One of my friends who came by said "the dog seems happier and less timid. I really hope (DH) wasn't doing anything to her"

I have the bipolar DH with issues with my dog. We are enjoying a quiet Christmas in the new house. DH did text me Merry Christmas, I texted him back. His family is visiting him this weekend. I will admit I am curious as to what he told them about doggie and I not being there.

I have the DH with bipolar and issues with my dog. I left him last week....new house is just starting to feel like home, but Christmas is coming and sometimes I just feel like crying.I thought I would be so happy and relived. I still have to go back to the old house and get a lot of things including furniture.

I have the bipolar DH with the issues with my dog. Doggy and I are in our new house. DH was upset when I told him we needed to spend some time apart. I am not expecting to get back together with him, but I wanted to let him down easy. It is not easy for me either. I started crying in the driveway when my friends and I pulled in with cars full of my stuff. Then I burst into tears again when they left before they even pulled out of the driveway. I have been crying on and off since. DH was nonchalant at first then was crying a little too. This is not as easy and I am not as happy and relieved as I thought I would be. I am sad and feel guilty.

I have the bipolar DH with the issues with my dog. I have been Googling "Moving with your Dog". She should be fine as long I have her toys, bed, etc readily available. I also have a crate for her.

I have the bipolar DH with the issues with my dog. I was packing a box of linens, and she watched me for a minute, then jumped into the box. LOL! I said "Of course you are coming with me!"
