There's this animal rights fascist called Gary Yourofsky, who makes racist comments about Palestinians, compares farming to human slavery, says that women who wear fur should endure a vicious rape. He is an asshole. A smug, self satisfied prick. I recently watched a vid of his bragging about releasing mink from UK fur farms. The height of hypocrisy. These were American mink, non-native to UK. Most of the population of them living in UK were fur farm escapes rather than deliberate releases, but him and his band of assholes contributed to a problem. American mink eat several species of rare bird, rare water voles, rare crayfish and out-compete otters which are native to the UK. How is this even animal rights or eco friendly? To whine about animal cruelty and meat destroying the planet and then release a vicious predator to destroy the UK's wildlife. Two thumbs up, you arrogant racist asshole. Idiots like him make me ashamed to be vegan.

Is it just me or does the presidential election seem like we're voting for American Idol? It almost feels like it's just a huge popularity contest at this point. I feel like no one is even taking anyone seriously this time around.

MIL from hell wants us to go visit Brazil for DS's 1st birthday. I love Brazil and she's not a bad MIL when we're not in my home, but there is no way. Sorry, I am not getting on a 12+ hour flight with a 1 year old. Logistical nightmare. And then DH's family is like 40 people on his mom's side and another 30 on his father's side. They'll all wanna play pass the baby and if I say no I'm that American bitch (and before anyone starts YES I do care what DH's family thinks of me because he loves his family and is close to the even 6,000 miles away) and if I let him DS will be SO overwhelmed because they are all loud and demanding and he's just like me. I feel bad saying no, but gotta put my foot down.

Meanwhile, trucks filled with the bodies of migrants trying to escape the crisis in the Middle East are turning all over Europe, another shooting in the US, ISIS imprisoning women in rape camps whilst claiming their husbands heads, NASA releasing a very disturbing map of rising sea levels. Once again our news media has successfully turned us away from what is important and turned us towards one more celebrity-esque scandal. In the words of Bill Hicks, "Go back to sleep America!" I get we can't spend all our time on the stuff that actually matters because we'd end up depressed as fuck and probably killing ourselves over the state of the planet, but it seems like we lose sight of the more important things happening for the sake of shit that sucks, but doesn't end untold numbers of lives.

I have a friend who has 8 kids. She has 1 more in High School. Out of the 8, 5 of them have kids and only 1 is married. She has always taught her dd's that it's a women's job to have babies. Ugh. They leech off of the system for food, section 8, medical, etc.... The only jobs they have ever had if they have worked, is Walmart. Her and I used to argue about women not being put on this earth just for baby making. And on FB all they ever talk about is how the white man took this from them, and that from them. They are Native American Indians.

So once Trump sees the astronomical costs of moving people over the border, kicking in American doors and removing people from their bed (UnAmerican as fuck), and the people start seeing that it will cost more to remove people than to let them contribute to our society, is he going to start camps to house them in? Maybe some gas chambers? He is psycho as I have ever seen. Psychotic!

The idea of getting rid of birthright citizenship is so incredibly offensive. Our country was founded on the idea (yeah, I know, it was an idea, not really implemented that well but still) that we do not judge people or limit them based on who their parents are. We believe that people have the right to be treated as individuals not some arm of their families. That is so much more important than "anchor babies." Those people are American, they are my countrymen, and you, Mr. Trump, do not get to say otherwise.

Yeah those kids born in fallujah with birth defects because of depleted uranium used in the Iraq war are just lining up to slaughter us all. America, fuck yeah!

I think maybe the juxtaposition of Trump's candidacy and Sanders' candidacy might make the American people take a different look at the way people are elected in this country. Do we really want to continue to let people buy political positions? The only way to do that is to become a puppet for whoever gave you that money. You know this is true- Michelle Obama changed her whole healthy living campaign to a calories in-calories out platform instead of a more sensible reduce the amount of junk you put in your body campaign because .. Coca Cola is a major Obama supporter. She knows better! She just can't say anything because Coke might turn off the money stream. Pretty sick, IMO.

I just read something (on FB-here's the grain of salt you will need) that said 13% of Americans believe Canadians live in igloos. I don't believe that!!
