Of course you don't see them supporting the flag! They, like so many others, are under the delusion that African Americans were the only enslaved race in this country or any other country. While i would not ever support slavery, I don't think the removal of a flag will do any damn good. You can't erase history by removing a flag. It happened, and if we attempt to cover it up or ignore it, it will just be repeated. You have to know about your mistakes to learn from them. And I don't mean "know" in the sense that you realise it happened. I mean "know" in that you fully understand, to the extent of the information available to you, exactly what happened and how to prevent it from happening again.

Hey homeless dude, it's your fault! Go and get a job! After all, there's jobs for everyone and everyone can work themselves up to a five figure salary. You just need to get off your ass! The American dream is real brah, you work hard as I did and in a few years you can have a million in the bank! I know this because of one or two anecdotes in my personal life. It's totally true for everybody, regardless of background, mental or physical health or circumstances. Dude, you're just lazy.

Then why not post about both parties? Seems biased to post only about Democrats. I'm not trying to speak for us all but I think most people on this board seem to want to live in a peaceful America no matter what party we affiliate with. None of us are perfect. Not even those who think they are open minded.

So to all of those who think you're not grown up because you're on your parents insurance or whatever--would you go to another country and tell them to grow up? It's a very very Americanized ideal for total independence. Other places, such as Brazil, children live with their parents until they are married or have homes of their own. Would you tell them to grow up as well?

I wish people would defend the 9 people that were murdered in church like they have been defending the confederate flag. Side note, people will be fine without the flag waving in the country air. You can still be American and do American things and America your life without it. Just like you have been for the last 500 years.

I'm totally all for gay marriage,think its great, but I think those that oppose it are entitled to their opinions as well . this is America, we have the right to free speech. Doesn't mean they hate gay people. You ones that call them names for disagreeing with gay marriage are hypocritical. IMO I don't think your a horrible person if you oppose it, some people on here act like you should be lynched. Smh.

Hello, I live in an arabian country, and I don't ever have anything mutuall with the common beliefs and the common religions, the way they think, the way they act, even the civilised version of people here are still closed-minded when you really get to the core, today Gay Marriage was legalised in all states in America, and I'm sitting here just listening to criticism and hearing stories about how they're all against it here, I have nothing against gay marriage and its their first basic right actually, I don't believe in their religions, I dont have their same thoughts, I can't get it out to the public, because people here will eat you alive, and actually they have a death penalty to all those who are now "infidels" and is out of their religion, I can't go my whole life keeping my thoughts a secret, and the way I believe and think, I am a girl who can't get her basic rights as a girl, I can't even get out to the whole or go live on my own because "I need to get married".

It kind of annoys me when US celebrities stand up and criticize countries like Japan for their treatment of dolphins, or the Spanish speaking world for bullfighting, etc. Those are really horrid practices that need to die out, I agree, but how many are brave enough to speak up against the rodeo? The rodeo is really nasty. Just because the animals aren't killed in the demos, doesn't mean that it's not torture and torment. And animals often do die because of broken limbs and other serious injuries doing it. Not to mention the amount of American horses that are sold to mexico for horse tripping events, even if it's not us doing it the blood is on our hands. I'm not saying don't speak up about the practices of other cruel countries, but be brave enough to speak against the cruel practices of your own while you're at it, even if it's a less popular opinion.

Let's get rid of all flags and their historic symbolism. US flag - world leadership, and everyone knows that's bad because every country should be able to run over every other country (like Russia did with Ukraine) and no one should stop them. British flag - was on a lot of ships transporting captured Africans into slavery, and everyone knows that's bad. Spanish flag - was on a lot of ships that looted the Americas and took gold from the poor natives to Europe, and that was bad. Japanese flag - bad too, considering the Bataan death march and other WWII atrocities. German flag - did't the German's spawn the Nazis? That must have been bad. Yet we let ships with these flags come in and out of our ports every day. That's bad. Demand that they take them off their ships because Americans don't like any flag that symbolizes anything bad! Uh oh, just saw a flag with a marijuana leaf on it. That is bad because marijuana is still illegal most of the country. Destroy any symbol! YEAH. It be GOOD.
