Like most Americans, I con't really give a rat's behind about the British royal family. But I will say that I think Kate Middleton is one of the most beautiful women I have seen.

I love pretty much all American imports (especially Reese's, om nom nom) but one American import I really don't like much is the growing numbers of protests outside clinics providing abortions :( I guess in our favour, most abortions occur in big hospitals here, and it would be kinda hard to protest outside those, but smaller clinics are already having protest groups. If we get one near me, I'm going to grow and throw peanuts and rotten tomatoes at them.

My friend from Canada, for some reason he thinks its OK to bash America to me. He sometimes calls Americans "garbage" to me. I'm not sure when he decided this was OK. He needs to quit, before I quit on our friendship. He can't just tell me "he's joking" and expect me to be OK with it.

You hate Obama and think he's a traitor and not patriotic nor American or Christian and you do nothing but "Support the Troops" all day and all that right wing angry bullshit, but yet, you can't be bothered to do jury duty because it's stupid and they are probably guilty anyway otherwise why are they arrested? Sigh. It's civic duty to go to jury duty, where is your patriotism? Your Americanism? And why haven't you joined the service?

First time I heard my roommate having sex last night. She was moaning and I heard bodies pounding against one another and a few slaps. A few things: Way TMI to hear all that, but I sheepishly admit, was a bit intrigued. Her bf is tall and African-American and that was my type for a while though I never dated one. I bet he could last for a while. I miss having sex for hours (or even just an hour) as current bf has PE. Lastly, I wonder if she ever heard us having sex as we do put on some background noise. I would be so mortified!

There's nothing inherently anything wrong with adopting from overseas but there are countries where women are under extreme pressure to give up children that they might very much want to raise, and others where newborns are straight up kidnapped and their families lied to about them going away temporarily. Americans' hunger for new babies is fueling some pretty horrible stuff in countries with weak or oppressive governments.

Irish music and accents out a stupid grin on my face. Must be my heritage coming out. ;-) my ancestor came to America during the potato famine and married a mean old Cherokee native american woman. At least I've never had to wonder where my temper comes from. Lol!

To me a burqa is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen. I'm all for costume for your custom, but to bring it into your daily life for the reasons they are purported for? #fuckthatshit. If anything, the American asshole in me, is snarking..."Get over yourself, I think the masses can control themselves over the magnificent site of your glorious appearance." #eyeroll

DD is so bad at singing and dancing, she's destined for American Idol someday. Oh wait, that requires a certain level of being deluded. I don't try to delude her, I just turn my face toward the wall and grimace. Right now I've come up with the best idea yet - jazz on my earphones!!

Since 2001, with the exception of some influenza (flu) vaccines, thimerosal is not used as a preservative in routinely recommended childhood vaccines. Thimerosal is a mercury-containing preservative used in some vaccines and other products since the 1930's. There is no convincing evidence of harm caused by the low doses of thimerosal in vaccines, except for minor reactions like redness and swelling at the injection site. However, in July 1999, the Public Health Service agencies, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and vaccine manufacturers agreed that thimerosal should be reduced or eliminated in vaccines as a precautionary measure. #science
