I live in a small town, far away from any type of city life. For the most part, I love it. This past weekend I went to help an old friend in her big city. She lives in a beautiful condo on the water, in the middle of all the restaurants, shopping, etc. Sleep in, gym, lunch, shopping, nap, quick drink at a hotel bar. It was fabulous and I wish I would have taken advantage of that type of city lifestyle before I had a family.

Is that whiny stepmom who shellac-ed her stepdaughter's nails back again? Sweetie, you are setting the kid up to be hurt if you keep acting like that. It is funny that those who disagree with you are "jealous ex-wives" I am a stepmom myself and I wouldn't hurt my stepkids to make a point with my husband's ex. You said you did your stepdaughter's hair only to see it hacked off, you paint her nails only for the mom to take it off..maybe you should stop messing with your stepdaughter's looks because it is only getting HER punished by her mom when she didn't do anything wrong.Did you come here for validation? Well, guess what you aren't getting your a** powdered. You are wrong and so is the exwife and all you are doing is hurting the little girl you claim to love.

My colleague just said that she'd been planning on being there at my marathon finish line. No one has ever been at my marathon finish line before. I've always been alone. What a lovely gesture on her part. I'm so touched. But now I feel even worse about this stupid knee. Oh, heal, won't you?

Even if Truu was up and running again, I'd stick to this site. I'm tired of typing well thought out confessions just to have it not be posted because someone decided to shut down the site for X amount of time, and when (if) it comes back up, my confession gets buried many pages in or not posted at all. It's like going back to an abusive boyfriend that we love and are familiar with....you just gotta know when to call it quits, and now is that time.

Aladdin had been my favorite movie since I was a little girl. I loved Aladdin and Abu a lot and still do. I must have seen that movie more than a thousand times. Just did a quiz on which disney prince would be my prince charming and I got Aladdin. I am a little too excited about it too. Posted it on facebook and everything. Okay, he is my true love and I am not over it.

I'm so glad I'm not some catty woman who dwells on the fact that exh and I are divorced and he's moved on with another woman and that other woman is around our kids. It doesn't bother me in the slightest he's with someone else and she's around our 2 kids. I've met her a couple of times and she seems really nice and she has kids of her own, which our kids love being around. She's nice to our kids and appears to be an awesome stand-in-mom while the kids are with their dad. I'm glad exh is with someone who makes him happy and that she treats our kids good. Not once have I ever felt threatened by her or her presence in our kids' lives. She does fun things with them, has taken them to the beauty salon for haircuts (oh no! doing something FUN with MY kids, I better call and harass my exh about that *sarcasm*). It doesn't bother me in the slightest. I'm sooooo glad I'm not catty and jealous and insecure and that exh and I are mature adults unlike some other bitter ex wives.

I think it's pathetic to think a step mom who is having some girly fun with her step daughter should have to call the biological mom just to paint the girl's nails. Something as innocent as painting a little girl's nails requires a phone call to ask for permission? Really?! That's ridiculous!! She was just having fun with her step mom and you'd think the biological mom should be happy her dd step mom treats her as wonderful as it sounds like. She could be a mean and cruel woman to this little girl and instead it sounds like she treats her as her own child, the way it should be. How many confessions have we read where the step mom is horrible to her step kids? Or even comments from some women about how awful their step moms treated them? I read one comment from a fellow Truu user who said her step mom would kick her or hit her when her father wasn't looking for no reason. imo, the step mom sounds like she truly does care about her dsd and not too many step moms actually treat their step kids like their own. Sounds to me like the dsd is a lucky girl to have 2 women who love her equally.

Using 90% of ingredients I had in my house to make a kick arse, easy dinner for roomies was super fun tonight! I didn't blow my groceries budget and they loved everything I made. Definitely will think twice before eating out now. I also forgot how much I enjoy cooking especially when I'm at ease. I never felt comfortable enough to cook like this at my last rental. The owner would complain about every little thing I did. Ahh - I love this newfound freedom.
