Food service workers want 15.00 an hour, but they get my order wrong about 75% of the time. This time I called the restaurant and demanded to speak with the manager. half my order was missing and I did not get the correct sauces. She refunded my whole order, and will send gift cards....get my order right next time, it is not fucking rocket science.

I used to work at a restaurant and the manager tried to have a mandatory unpaid cleaning party. It never happened lol.

My ex is a cop, and if you didn't know - cops get a LOT of food either free or deeply discounted. I remember him telling me one time that there was a nice hotel in the city where they could eat all they wanted from the restaurant's buffet and only pay $2. Our one and only vacation was marred by him constantly complaining about the cost of food, even though I paid for half of our meals. Yes dude, two breakfast entrees, two Bloody Marys and tax comes to $26 - not to mention the tip. Welcome to the real world!

This was so funny. At first I was wondering why you needed to share that you needed cashews, lol. I once had a new-at-the-time friend who went on a cruise and did the same thing. He posted literally hundreds of pictures, and described his every move. By the third day, I knew that boat so well, I could have subbed for the cruise director. I knew exactly how to get from his stateroom to the pool, or the restaurant, or the dance club, etc. I had to temporarily hide him from my feed because he was clogging it. I finally unfriended him when I realized he did this with EVERYTHING. Including when he had to have a colonoscopy. Every detail, including a picture of the enema he had to take.

How weird is this - I think I ate at the same restaurant this weekend! Well, it is a small chain, so I ate at one of the restaurants. I had the snap pea edamame salad too, it is amazing! I also had the avocado cherry tomato salad, and curried cauliflower. I love that place! But I don't go too often, because as you said, it isn't cheap. But when a friend is looking for a place to eat before a show, I nearly insist we go there.

I ate at a new restaurant today, and I want to go back ASAP! You could choose two salads and a protein. I had snap pea edamame salad, Thai ginger salmon poke, and some other veggie thing. I was so damn good that I'm just sitting here plotting my return! More raw salmon, please! It was not cheap tho

Welp, DH and I are both going to go work at the restaurant. This is so funny to me. DH has experience bartending so I can kinda see that, but me? LOL! He just really wants to hire me as a server so bad he's called me four times in two days about this. And I have no idea what I'm doing! I've never worked in food service a day in my life. This ought to be interesting. I really hope I don't suck at it.

Okay party people. I am having a little decision dilemma and want some input. I work full time in an office and it's all good. However- my DD20 who just moved across the country left a slot open at her job as a server in one of our local higher-end restaurants. Her boss is a client at my office and was just here complaining that he can't find servers. I joke, "I still have her uniform shirt and I'm free on weekends!" .. You should have seen his eyes light up. I think I may have accidentally gotten a job as a server. I told him I've never done it before, and I could only do weekends. He was so excited. I dunno though. Advice? Thoughts?

Cf people have been dreaming about cf restaurants since the beginning of time. And flights. Omg... cf flights would be amazing. I know loads of parents who would utilize both of those things, too!

I saw a family with 3 kids under age 5 with them and the parents could not control them. It was in a restaurant and they kids were screaming and running wild. The wife was pregnant. I wondered why they were having another one when they cannot control the ones they already have. And yes it was my business because I had to listen to these kids scream and have them run around, my 91 year old grandmother almost tripped over one of them, and they put their hands on the edge of our table when they ran by.
