I believe it is an American shift in culture that has boroughs out such a response. We now keep to ourselves, seek out only supporting opinions and lash out when there is a differing opinion. We used to say "it takes a village" to raise a child. I think that is still true. If your parents won't listen, what a wonderful gift a supportive neighbor, aunt, uncle etc is to a young person.

I am so over people! I had three people rant about daylight savings time coming up and they had a long stupid rant about how it was "the stupid. Libtards of this world" that mess everything up for everyone. And then the other two jumped on board and started talking about farming and how Obama doesn't help the farmers because he hates God fearing hard working Americans. Over daylights savings time?? So done. I'm tapping out.

So this guy I knew in HS just posted a huge rant about how much he hates Halloween on FB. He hates it because it's not a "real" holiday and all these stores and restaurants put up stuff "that's supposed to be scary but isn't scary at all" and that Americans are just a bunch of dumbasses who would rather be distracted by a silly holiday than worry about "what's really scary in this world". OK, jerk...maybe you just wasted ten minutes of your precious time writing a stupid rant instead of doing something productive?

I just mentally got rid of someone who thinks that Christian Americans are being persecuted for their beliefs. They have no idea what persecution is, not that I do myself, but to claim you have hardships because you can't hold a public prayer in class that excludes or forcibly includes students of different faiths makes me think you are a raging IDIOT.

Warning broad generalisation and own, outsiders opinion ahead, but as an englishmen working in england, the stories I read on here and other sites about how so many people over in America get treated at work are sickening IMO.

Ever think that maybe a country of 8% wants a government it actually votes for? How selfless of you to care about the UK losing 8% of it's population over it's performance on the world stage, when that 8% NEVER gets the British government it votes for because it's too big of a minority for it's vote to count over the rest of the UK. Yeah, Americans, you keep on worrying about UK's presence in the world where we keep getting government we didn't vote for. Not everything is about you. Try and keep that in mind.
