I am sick of hearing from Americans about the Scottish Independence Debate. Most of them have no clue what is really going on. They think it's like the movie Braveheart or that Scotland is oppressed or some bullshit. They know nothing about what is really going on, they just think it sounds good for Scotland to have our independence.

Has anyone ever been to The Flying Saucer brew pubs? Their gimmick is you join the membership program, drink 200 different beers and get a plate on the wall, and once you get 10 plates you get an all expenses paid trip to Great American Beer Festival in Denver. My fil is on his 20th+ plate. I think his liver is fine.

I don't understand any British, American, Australian Muslims (or Muslims living in any other relatively cushy Westernised country) travelling to join IS. But my jaw really drops when I hear about all the women doing it. How brainwashed you must have to be to go and "fight" for this cause where they are turning innocent women and children into rape slaves, and where you are considered lower than the dog is in in Islam.

I can't believe anyone would argue a living minimum wage is a bad thing. You all must be ultra right wing. Firstly, not everyone has the capability to train for something else. Secondly, if everybody did we'd be back in the same situation because almost EVERY industry has more trainees than it has jobs. Thirdly, paying people a living wage puts more money back into the economy as they have real money to live on. Fourthly, I know several people with highly "useful" degrees (law, engineering etc) who cannot get "real" jobs right now because of this economy. The fact that people are not willing to pay extra pennies on their Big Mac (because these are the levels of cost increase we are talking) so someone else can live a better life is so disgusting, so low and so selfish. Most successful Western nations do have a living wage, why are Americans so backward about this issue?

JFC....American Apparel photographed an upskirt panty shot of a model in a school skirt for their "back to school" line? When's the next shuttle going up, I've had enough of this planet.

Your hatred and sexism towards men is boring and is nothing more than an ugly prejudice, not unlike the the other injustices you supposedly hate. I can't wait for you to reply with some remark about having a boyfriend or whatever so I can laugh like when I hear a racist talk about their African American friend.

I think it's bullshit a student gets arrested for not being vaccinated, makes me angry. That's a damn choice, not mandated by law nor a crime or anything like that. I know vax supporters are probably thinking "but it should be the law!", ha! What else will you bend over for. Choices America..choices=Freedom. I'm sorry that student went through those illnesses, and perhaps mom was just too lazy, however, school had no right to suspend.

Anybody talking about suing someone: Lawyer's fees are $200 - $300 an hour where I live. Most suits aren't worth it. It is American fiction that you can sue and get anything worthwhile in a small suit. Plus depending on the person you sue, you might not be able to collect. Just FYI.

For a world view that will help me know what is going on, I watch BBC news on my PBS channel. I also watch other news on PBS channel - there is a Japanese station I like. I have learned that I don't trust major US networks anymore. They are all pushing a political agenda. NBC, CBS & ABC are the worst. They would have us believe that the most important news in the world is a military vet reuniting with his dog. Or a handicapped child whose brother loves him. Those are feel good stories, but in the 22 minute broadcast, we need to know the politics behind world events. Not why Obama is wearing a tan suit. Dumbing down the American public? And we allow it? NO.
